Chapter forty-one

The next morning, Jayden came out of his room to see the dinner table empty without Maya's presence, he wondered and called Linda who answered him quickly.

"Good Morning sir". she greeted with a bow.

" Why is Maya not on the dining?".

"I don't know sir, she hadn't come out of her room.". she replied and Jayden asked her to go, she went back to the kitchen while Jayden left to sit in the dining, waiting for Maya.

" Why is she taking so long?".he sighed tiredly and left for her room, he hesitated for a while before knocking on the door, but there was no response, he knocked again and then went inside, the room was dark."Why is it dark in here? Maya?". he called and went to open the window, he was surprised to see Maya still on the bed shivering under the blanket."Maya". he rushed to her quickly. "What's wrong with you?" he asked curiously.
