I didn't know how long we stood on the spot waiting for Asher, but still nothing. I had tried mindlinking him several times, but the mindlink just wasn't going through. I felt worry beginning to creep inside me; I didn't have a good feeling about this. I had to take a leap into the forest and check up on Asher before it was too late.

And as if reading my thoughts, Kiara rasped. "Shouldn't we go in search of Asher? It's almost thirty minutes since he left. Surely, packing a car shouldn't take him that long".
