"I, Blake Blackwood, future Alpha of the Moon Crest Pack rejects you, Elena Reynolds as my fated mate and future Luna".

"Ugh.. - " I gasped and groaned as blinding pain ripped through me sending me collapsing to the ground. I clenched my chest tightly and my heart leaped almost out of my chest. I couldn't breathe. The ground felt like it had been ripped off from under me and tears burned my eyes.

Blake collapsed beside me, gasping continuously for air and numerous guards rush to his aid, while I was left alone in my anguish.

"What are you waiting for you pig? Accept the rejection and free him from this torture". The Luna growled, her voice sharp and cold. At this moment, I could feel the piercing gaze of the entire pack on me. They all hated me deeply, and wanted nothing more, than for me to accept Blake rejection.

You must be curious about who I was and what crime I had committed for my entire pack to hate me. Let me introduce myself. My name is Elena Reynolds, daughter of the late Alpha Watcher Rhodes Reynolds - One of the most prestigious and dreaded Alpha watchers to ever exist. Being the only daughter of an Alpha Watcher should have earned me such respect and reverence for the rest of my life, but that did not happen. Instead I was reduced lower than an omega and abhorred as the pack slave.

My miserable life had all began on my sixteenth birthday, under the full moon, when I was possessed by a strong force and shifted into a beast instead of a wolf. My beast had killed my parents and the previous pack Luna. Ever since that night, my life has been nothing but a complete nightmare. From being inflicted with wolfsbane and silver once in every month, to being bullied and spunned by the entire pack and finally being rejected by my mate - the only last person who was meant to love and care for me.

The Luna strode hastily towards me and grabbed me harshly by my hair. Her features turning darker. I was the one who had been rejected and humiliated, yet she was even more infuriated than me.

"If you do not accept his rejection right now, I am going to make sure you do not live to see the dawn of a new day". She growled and I gulped, my tongue feeling heavy in my mouth. But I knew they was no point refusing his rejection. My tears burned my eyes as they streamed continuously down my face.

"I... Ele.. - Elena Reynolds of the Moon Crest Pack accepts the rejection of Blake Blackwood and pledges to stand by it". I winced in pain as a burning sensation stirred inside me. I knew the moon goddess was erasing the mate bond. I had lost Blake forever.

Blake slowly rose from the ground and his eyes flickered briefly towards mine. They was no regret in his eyes, no remorse, no concern. Instead, his eyes were cold and darker. A cruel mocking smile curled at the corners of his lips, as he took steady strides towards Celine - the female he had returned with after being away from the pack for five years. His arms wrapped possessively around her slender waist and my stomach dropped sharply.

"Celine". He mumbled her name, a slow smile spreading across his face. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and goosebumps broke out on my arms.

"Will you make me the happiest man alive and be my chosen mate". He growled. And I shook my head, struggling to stop the tears from falling. Different questions sprawled in my head.

Was I that ugly?

He rejects me as his fated mate, and the next second askes someone else to be his chosen mate.

Was the Moon goddess playing a fast one on me?

Or was it simply because of my past? A past that has caused me nothing but unbearable pain and promised to cause me even more in the near future.

" I, Celine Hayes, of the Blue Moon Pack, accepts Blake Blackwood as my chosen mate and promise to always stand by him come high and deep waters.".

The crowd erupted into loud chirps and squeals of delight. Blake pulled Celine closer to him, leaving barely an inch of space between them. Slowly, he tilted his face to the crook of her neck, where her shoulder and neck meet, his canines extended, and his teeth sank deep into her flesh, marking her. My tears fell, salty streams down my face and it felt as if someone had punched me in the stomach knocking the life out of me.

Unable to control the rising tunamy inside me. I ran away without looking back and promised never to return.
