Chapter Eight

It was already 3 pm when they decided to join the crowd listening to a singing competition.

They sat beside each other, Jaxon excused himself and came back with drinks and french fries minutes later.

While the third performer sang "So easy to love" by Sad puppy, Serena yawned tiredly.

"I think I'm bad company, you're already bored," Jaxon said without looking at her.

Serena glanced at the side of his face, his hair was messy from him touching it so often, but it still looked cool.

"You're not so bad, I just didn't think you'd bring me to a carnival," Serena replied.

"You expected something different?" Jaxon turned to look at her. She was playing with the hem of her dress.

"Not that I had a place in mind, I just didn't know what to think, but this has been fun, anyway," Serena said as she exhaled.

"You must have had plans since you're on a vacation, what would you have done if you weren't here?" Jaxon asked.
