Chapter Twenty-five

"Hey" it was a masculine voice. It seemed distant with her mind so far away from her immediate surroundings, but it was familiar.

"Serena, Serena" a hand waved in front of her. She looked up to see Melvin standing in front of her.

Her eyes darted sideways wondering if she was at the airport or something. Her eyebrows furrowed,why was he here? Seeing that she had been sitting at a bus stop, he must be on his way to the airport.

"Hey Melvin, what's up?" She gave him a wry smile.

"I'm good, running a few errands here and there," he moved his head sideways "here and there". She noticed he was holding a small box.

"You run delivery services too?" He wasn't wearing his T&M uniform though, he was wearing a yellow and white check short-sleeved button down shirt and brown cargo pants, so she wondered if her question was rude. Why did she always feel rude to him?

He was just like every regular person that worked at a store and as long as they were happy with it, it wasn't disrespectful to ask
