[THE NEXT DAY]

Malik’s POV

A deep purr rose in my chest before I could stop it.

For the first time in weeks, I woke up feeling content. The air was thick with a familiar, intoxicating scent—warm vanilla, filling my nose and completely soothing my inner wolf. My mind was still foggy, but my body felt grounded and safe.

Then I shifted, and a sharp spike of pain shot directly through my temples. I groaned, burying my face deeper into whatever soft surface I was resting against as my head throbbed

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 020

Malik's POVI’m kissing Nathaniel. I’M. KISSING. NATHANIEL.The mantra screamed through my head, and it nearly drove my inner wolf insane with victory. For years, I had starved for this. I had watched him from across rooms, contenting myself with being just the protector, just the best friend, while burying the demanding hunger that begged me to claim him.But tasting him now? It was ruinous. It was… everything. He was so small against me, pinned perfectly between my heavy frame and the solid wood of my bedroom door. His hands were tangled in the hair at the nape of my neck, his fingers digging in with a grip that told me he was just as breathless as I was.I groaned again, the sound feral, as I tilted his head back further. I deepened the angle, my tongue sliding over his, consuming his sweet vanilla taste until I couldn't tell where I ended and he began. He let out a soft whimper into my mouth, his knees completely giving out. I caught him instantly, my massive arm locking around hi

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 019

Nathaniel’s POV If he wanted to pretend I didn't exist, then so be it. It had been two days since the festival and Malik was still completely ignoring me. I hadn’t done anything wrong, but he wouldn't even give me the opportunity to explain that Brandon had forced that kiss on me. Instead, he’d chosen to let that woman cling to him for the rest of the night. Fine. If he preferred her company over mine, I wasn't going to bother wasting my breath. I didn't even feel the metal edge of the iron trowel digging into my palm as I tightly gripped the gardening tool, aggressively hacking at the weeds in the greenhouse. My anger rose as the image of the woman’s flawless face and her slender hand wrapped around Malik’s arm flashed behind my eyelids for the hundredth time. I didn't understand the rage that seemed to burn in my chest. Why did I care so much? Why did the thought of her touching him make me want to tear the roots right out of the soil? “Um… sir?” A quiet voice abruptly s

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 018

Malik’s POVGod, I must be the dumbest man alive.I can’t believe that I actually thought, for even one second, that Nathaniel had fallen out of love with Brandon. I can't believe I let myself imagine that maybe, just maybe, he was starting to feel something for me. I had been floating on air all morning because he let me hold him last night, because he let me touch his stomach and call his baby ours. What a fucking joke.I stormed down the grand hallway of the Pack House, my boots thudding against the marble floor. The scent of Brandon’s nasty pheromones mixed with Nathaniel’s sweet vanilla scent was burning the back of my throat, stoking a raging fire in my chest.“Malik! Wait, please! Stop!”Nathaniel’s voice echoed down the corridor, followed by the frantic patter of his footsteps. I didn't slow down. My inner wolf was pacing behind my ribs, snarling and snapping in anger, wanting to tear down the walls of this entire building.“Malik, just listen to me!”He finally caught up, th

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 017

Nathaniel's POV The polished floors of the Pack House felt unusually cold beneath my boots as I walked through the grand entrance. My fingers tightly gripped the strap of my satchel, a knot of anxiety twisting in my stomach. Malik had mind-linked me just a few minutes ago, telling me to come to the main building.I couldn't lie to myself. I was incredibly nervous. What Malik had done at the festival today was a brutal nightmare that forced me to remember that my best friend was so much more than the soft, caring protector I usually saw.He was a beast. He was... Alpha Malice. And he could dismantle a powerful Council family with a few words and an evil smirk, entirely unbothered by the lives he ruined in the process.I tried to swallow my nerves, deep-breathing to calm my racing heart. Malik wouldn't like it if he scented fear on me; he hated the idea of me being scared of him. And to be completely honest, I wasn't terrified of him. I was just... utterly shocked. He did that to Oc

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 016

Malik’s POV I stood on the elevated stone podium, my arms crossed over my chest as my eyes ruthlessly glanced through the sea of pack members below. The noise of the crowd was a loud, chaotic buzz, but I wasn't listening to it. I was looking for one specific person. Yet I couldn't find Nathaniel anywhere. “Alpha Malik, this is quite a surprise. I wouldn't have guessed you'd join us today,” Brandon's smooth, arrogant voice drifted from my left. He shifted in his grand chair, looking up at me with a fake smile. I kept my eyes trained straight ahead on the crowd, refusing to give him even a glance. “I'm full of surprises, Brandon,” I said, my voice dripping with an icy indifference that made his smile falter. I slowly turned my head, my gaze landing on Lucien Sullivan. The Elder was sitting next to Brandon, smiling arrogantly as he waved at some of the lower-district merchants. He looked completely untouchable, basking in the glory of his status. I let a faint, dark smile pull

  • ACCIDENTALLY OURS   CHAPTER 015

Malik’s POVThe air reeked of the blood pooling on the floor of the Pit. Deep beneath my estate, this concrete bunker was soundproof, windowless, and designed for one specific purpose: extracting the truth.Tonight, a wolf named Silas occupied the chair. Silas had been hired no more than two months ago as a lower-tier guard in the Pack House. He wasn't one of my direct, hand-picked men but his position gave him just enough access to wander the corridors, eavesdrop on conversations, and gather sensitive information.Like the spontaneous decision I had made to take Nathaniel to the fields.“Please... please...” Silas choked out, his voice a ragged whisper. He was chained securely to a heavy steel chair in the center of the room, his face unrecognizable from the absolute brutality I’d spent the last hour inflicting on him.I didn't say a word. I just calmly picked up a pair of heavy iron pliers from the tray, the cold metal reflecting the dim room. Beside me, Jax stood with his arms cro
