I opened my eyes in a dark room with a fuzzy head. My head and ears ringing, I tried so hard to remember what had happened but the more I tried, the more my head ached. “Where am I?” I asked myself as I tried to stand up and it was then I realized I was tied to a chair with my hands behind my back, my legs tied up too and my mouth duct taped. I groaned.“The more you try, the more painful it becomes.” I heard a familiar voice say, I strained my eyes to look properly and I saw Steve, Connors dad. I struggled more on the chair and tried to say something that only came out in a muffle as my mouth was taped already, he lifted his hands up and a man, My Uncle, came closer to remove the tape from my mouth, I spat and inhaled.“What do you want?” I said.“You know what I want. Connor does too.” He answered. “You just tell him to step down and everyone is fucking happy. I was going to handover the papers to him when we heard gunshots, ducking, I jumped over to where Alannah was standing in a bid to protect her. Uncle Matt’s and his men shooting became rampant and we made our way to the safety, I saw my dad trying to escape and I immediately ran over to him, pouncing on him. After waiting a while, a doctor finally came outside and we all stood up to walk over to him.“How is he?” Julia asked before any of us could speak.“Calm down Julia. Let the doctor talk.” Uncle Matt said and the doctor let out a small smile.“He’s stable now.” The doctor announced and Uncle Matt and I let out a sigh of relief, although we were shocked, Alannah held her chest for what seem like minutes before getting control of her breathing.“Can we see him now?” Julia asked, cleaning her tears with her palm.“Yes.
