"Nika, I'm talking to you," Dante's voice snapped me back to reality.

I blinked and turned to him quickly. "Sorry. What did you say?"

It's been tough for me to focus; no matter where I am, my mind always wanders off. And it mostly wandered back to my old damn pack and the man who lead it. It's been four days since we left Ashwood Pack, yet I still feel annoyed every time I recall when I was there, especially what happened the last day before we departed from that place.

Dante let out a sigh, "I reminded you about the Blue Moon Ball happening tomorrow night. Dad wants you to join me."

"Oh... Dad already mentioned it to me yesterday." I couldn't mask the lack of enthusiasm in my voice.

This ball is going to be an event where they look for potential mates. That was the primary reason most people attended this ball.

I just don't see the reason for me to come since finding a mate isn't going to be my goal either.
