Odette dragged me into a seat before I had a chance to object. Now I have to sit at the same table with her and Bridget, along with some women I didn't recognize.

“Hey everyone, I’d like you all to meet Tessa. She used to be part of my mate's pack, but then she left for the Stormhowl pack." Odette introduced me to them. "I don't even know why she has to leave our pack without informing any of us first."

The way she introduced me was as if I was a traitor who left the Ashwood Pack, not someone who'd been deeply hurt by the Alpha until I found no comfort in that pack anymore.

"Do you really want to make a scene right now?" I asked in a lower tone, my teeth clenched tight, pulling my hand from Odette's grasp.

"What? No no! I know you're new to events like this, so i wanted to take a moment to introduce you to these Lunas." Odette responded, making sure to wear those pained expressions on her face.
