"Alpha, two of our friends, Sam and Conrad, the fellow warrior, who went on patrol three days ago, haven't returned. We look for them and by the time we find them, they're already dead."

Atlas' words finally managed to grab my attention after an hour of sitting at this meeting with my mind elsewhere.

I get to my feet instantly.

Hearing about the death of two of my warriors, it felt as if I was being told a lie.

Well. They're skilled fighters. Who were they up against that they ended up losing to?

Oh please Author. I had enough of Frederick's schemes. I like Tessa and Gabe together. Fred had hurt her a lot, I would like to see a love triangle to bloom here. Very interesting. I'll go with the team TessaGabe. They look cute together, and Gabe is deserving.
