Kael POV

The wreckage around me was proof of my weakness. shattered glass, overturned furniture, the copper stench of blood smeared into the stone. My own hands wouldn’t stop trembling, knuckles split and bruised, the sting dulled only by the whiskey still burning in my veins.

I stayed on my knees, staring at them. Blood. My Gamma’s blood. My chest rose and fell in ragged bursts, but it wasn’t exhaustion. It was rage turned inward, eating me alive.

Every piece of destruction in this room was because of me. Because of my inability to let her go. Because I couldn’t give Aria safety, not without turning it into a weapon against her.

Her voice still bled through my skull, haunting me.

If I’m so weak, then why do you still keep me?

I clenched my fists until fresh blood welled between my knuckles. I wanted to scream again, to tear down every wall stone by stone until there was nothing left but rubble, but even that wouldn’t silence her words.

I was Alpha yet one woman’s trembling voice had

Kael’s POVThe healer’s words echoed in my skull long after we’d left the hospital. Twins. A boy and a girl. My children.I had imagined this moment a thousand times, what it would be like to see my pup for the first time, to feel the weight of responsibility, to know my bloodline would continue, but I hadn’t imagined this. Not twins. Not two perfect heartbeats thundering in unison, each carrying a piece of me and of Aria.Even now, the image clung to me: the screen glowing in the dim light, the tiny bodies moving, the sound of their hearts like a war drum beating against my chest. For a moment, everything had gone still inside me. No Alpha commands Just Aria. Her tears had broken me in that room. Not because of weakness, but because I realized just how alone she had felt, how far I had pushed her with my need to control everything. She had carried both the weight of me and of them, and I hadn’t seen it. That guilt would sit in me for a long time. But guilt wasn’t enough. I had to act.

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    Chapter 83

Aria POVThe morning light streamed through the curtains, soft and golden, but I couldn’t feel its warmth. I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers pressed against my stomach, tracing the curve that had grown heavier with each passing week. My thoughts were loud, crashing against each other, and my wolf was restless, pacing inside me.The door opened without a knock. Kael stepped in, his presence filling the room like a storm cloud. He didn’t say anything at first. His eyes went straight to me, then down to my stomach. My heart lurched.“Aria,” he said, his voice firm, “we’re going to the hospital today.”I stiffened. “Why?”His jaw tightened. “Because I want to know the gender of our pup. And because I don’t trust the secrets you’ve been keeping from me. If there’s something wrong, I’ll find out.”My mouth went dry. I had fought so hard to keep everything quiet, to protect myself and the baby, but Kael’s tone left no room for argument. He was in Alpha mode, commanding, immovable. My

Aria’s POVThe room was filled with soft noises—tiny breaths, the occasional hiccup, the rustle of blankets. My babies. My twins. My world. I had them both now, my boy and my girl, safe where they belonged.I sat on the edge of the bed, swaying gently with my daughter in my arms while my son slept in the cradle beside us. For the first time since the nightmare began, my heart wasn’t tearing itself apart. It was whole.Kael leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, watching me with that look that always undid me—like I was both his weakness and his strength. The Alpha who had burned down walls to bring our son home now stood silent, as if he couldn’t believe the sight in front of him.“You’re staring,” I teased, kissing the baby’s soft cheek. He arched a brow. “Can you blame me? Look at you. You’re… glowing.”I rolled my eyes. “That’s called exhaustion, Alpha. Two babies don’t exactly come with a sleep schedule.”He crossed the room in two strides and knelt in front of me, his large h

Aria POV“Aria, did you visit the hospital?”His voice hit me like thunder. My body froze beneath the duvet, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst. I sat up slowly, eyes wide, staring at the shadow of him standing in the doorway. His shoulders filled the frame, his presence heavy, demanding.I tried to form words but my throat locked.“I asked you a question.” His tone was sharp, biting, every word laced with authority. My lips parted, air coming in shallow gasps. “I… I… Kael…”“Don’t stammer,” he snapped, stepping closer, the floor groaning under his boots. His eyes burned into mine. “Answer me. Did you go to the hospital?”I clutched the blanket to my chest, the fabric twisting in my fists. My mouth opened again but the sound that came out was weak, broken. “I… I just needed—”“You disobeyed me,” he cut in, his jaw tightening. “You left without permission, you put yourself at risk. Do you realize what could have happened to you?”His words slammed into me, but the secre

Elena POVI had no intention of leaving the hallway after Kael stormed into Aria’s room. I had been walking past when I heard his voice, sharper than usual, low but breaking with the weight of something more than anger. That caught my attention immediately. Kael rarely lost control, but with her he always seemed to crack in ways that made me grind my teeth.I leaned against the wall, careful not to breathe too loud. Their voices carried easily enough through the wood of her door.“You vanish without telling me,” Kael was saying. “You come back pale as death. You argue with Elena in front of the workers. And now you refuse food. Aria, what am I supposed to think?”My lips curled into a smirk. He listed my name among her mistakes, as if her snapping at me was something worth remembering. Good. Let her temper work against her. Then her voice came, soft and trembling. “Think whatever you want. I don’t owe Elena or anyone else an explanation.”I pressed my nails into my palm to keep from
