Chapter 11

Aria pov

I looked at her suspiciously, brows furrowed, my posture stiff. A sly smile curled on her lips as she sank into my couch like she owned the place. My arms crossed tightly over my chest.

"I hate riddles. I never get them right," I muttered, tugging off my hairband, fingers slowly combing through my strands. She ignored me, tapping her nails rhythmically against the armrest, eyes locked onto the fabric like she was reading secrets in the seams.

"Well, I'm not here for riddles either," she said coolly. "I'm not a ghost. And I'm definitely not some lowlife like you. I value my space, my peace, and most importantly—my property."

Property?

Confusion twisted through me.

Her tone was laced with venom, her eyes sharp, accusing. "What I don't get," she continued, voice rising slightly, "is how you managed to crawl your way into my space."

I blinked, trying to decode her meaning. Was she serious?

Snapping out of the daze, I tossed the hairband onto the bed and walked toward

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    ONE QUEEN BEE WASN'T ENOUGH

Chapter 13Aria – POVImmediately I got dressed, I walked to the door, looked at him one more time, snickered loudly before opening it. That smug bastard didn’t even flinch. Just laid there like a broken statue. Serves him right. I hoped his ego stung more than his cheek. The corridor was eerily quiet. I stepped out, heels clicking softly against the marble. I darted my eyes around, heart hammering like a drum in my chest. My dress clung to me like a second skin and I adjusted the neckline—it felt like everyone could see what almost happened upstairs.“He almost raped me,” I muttered under my breath. My voice trembled. “Asshole of an Alpha…”Then—bam!I walked smack into someone. My shoulder collided hard into another body, and pain exploded down my arm like a lightning bolt. I stumbled back a step, blinking.“What the hell is this?!” the person barked, voice sharp, high, and unfamiliar.I snapped my head up, eyes widening as they landed on a stranger—no, not just a stranger. This wom

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    AN EX THAT REFUSES TO MOVE ON

Chapter 12Vanessa’s POVThe walk down the stairs with Daniel was a test of my patience. Every step felt like walking on shattered glass—uncomfortable, prickly, and impossible to ignore. I’d never liked him, and the thought of that stranger flashed again in my mind like a bad nightmare on loop. Kael is not the kind of alpha you mess with. So how in hell did he give that bitch the audacity to flaunt herself in his space like she owned the place? My fist tightened involuntarily, nails digging into my palm. When we finally reached the living room, my gaze drifted around until it landed on the large portrait hanging proudly on the wall. Alpha Kael. He looked like a god—chiseled jaw, sharp eyes that could freeze fire, the kind of man who seemed carved from legend. My fingers itched to touch it.I moved slowly to the edge of the room, almost reverently, and traced my finger lightly along his jawline, from the sharp chin to those hypnotic eyes.“He looks like a god,” I whispered, my voice th

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    The Voice Behind the Curtain

Chapter 10 Aria's POVThe doorknob clicked behind me with a soft finality, sealing the heat inside. I rolled my eyes as sweat traced the curve of my spine beneath my blouse. Of course, the room felt like an oven. No surprise there. This pack house couldn’t regulate temperature if its life depended on it.I slipped off my heels one after the other with my toes, letting them clatter to the floor. The echo felt too sharp, too hollow. Something was…off. I took a step forward, squinting into the semi-darkness. The creamy curtains I know I left open earlier were now drawn shut, swallowing the moonlight I had counted on to air the place out.My brows pulled together. I knew I’d opened the window. Wide, even. I remember pausing before the meeting, taking in the crisp air and the quiet sound of leaves brushing each other like secrets passed in the breeze. But now it was shut. Drapes to the floor like a final curtain call.A sigh slipped from my lips, partly annoyed, partly… unsettled. My bare

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    Chapter 9

Chapter 9Kael povAfter exiting her room, she trailed behind, dressed in a short gown that gave her a rugged appearance. "Hurry up, we're late for the pack meeting. It's a community business gathering, so please don't waste my time with your slow pace."As I hurried along, my suit billowing in the breeze from the open window, I noticed the absence of footsteps behind me. I paused and glanced back, my expression turning sour, but I quickly softened. To my dismay, she had fallen to the ground in her heels, clearly struggling to walk in them. "What on earth is happening?" I asked, exhaling deeply. She sat on the floor, her ankle twisted by the heel, not even bothering to look up as she attempted to adjust it. I approached her slowly, matching my energy to the situation; it was frustrating that she was causing me stress so early in the day. When I reached her side, she lifted her gaze to meet mine, her eyes heavy with embarrassment. "I apologize," she said.“My dress is too short, and

  • ALPHA KAEL'S BREEDER    FANCY SECRETARY

Chapter 8Aria povI stood hesitantly at my door, my fingers nervously rubbing the cool metal knob as I contemplated how to muster the courage to turn it. Today marked my first official day as his secretary, a role I had both anticipated and dreaded. Drawing a deep breath, I gently swept my hair back behind my shoulders, trying to project a sense of calm. Clad in a sleek black gown that hugged my silhouette, a daring slit ran up the back, leaving me feeling both elegant and anxious. The long sleeves offered a touch of modesty, yet the overall ensemble was undeniably bold. I couldn't shake the nagging doubts swirling in my mind. What if he didn't approve of my appearance? What if today turned out to be one of his notoriously bad days, leaving me vulnerable to his wrath? As I wrestled with my thoughts, a sudden, sharp knock echoed through the hallway, jolting me from my reverie. I paused, the silence wrapping around me before that distinctive knock came again—more forceful this time, s
