LOGINLyra's POV.
My legs wobbled as I tried to stand. This wasn't supposed to happen. It was poor calculation on my part and I knew that I wasn't going to hear the last of it. Adrenaline pumped through everyone's veins so this was in time for us to keep throwing blames around but I was going to get back to it. The wolf growled even louder, leaving no way for misconception. It was here to get us out permanently One thing was certain and it was the fact that if we needed to get some things done we have to be thorough about it. It wasn't really about what anybody was capable of doing. It was about what we intended to do with the idea that have been presented to us I wrapped my fists around the dagger. I didn't know how many slashes I would be able to get before he collapsed to the ground and I was not willing to take that risk but I knew that if we were working together we would be able to get it done earlier. So I maintained my timing. Camille wasn't even breathing. It seemed like she had forgotten how to do that. It wasn't easy but I knew she was going to get through with it and that was my only hope watching her. "Get back you bastard." I broke the silence. The panting wolf was bigger than both of us combined but we had an advantage in the small space, we had speed whereas he had pounds of muscle. I didn't think he was the rogue leader but he was one of the people who was committed to their jobs and wanted to see everybody miserable. That had to be the only reason he didn't want to let us go despite we not having any problems with him Camille did not waste any time with its distraction before flinging a dagger straight at him. As though it's predicted it it's jumped to the side almost landing on me had I not moved at the last minute My chest was pounding. Now my dagger had fallen out of my hands, crashing on the ground. My leg slashed against a rock, and crimson seeped out. Our senses heightened. Even if I was the highest masking spray as long as blood was stripping out of my body he was always going to find me. The wolf gave a snort. It was almost like he was laughing at our attempts to outsmart him. "Camille got this motherfucker out of the way! He doesn't deserve to be here!" There was no way in hell that I was going to let him overpower in your house no matter the circumstances so he better stop gloating and get ready for the switch. Together we rolled over at the same time changing positions while I grabbed a Little Rock It wasn't going to do much besides buy Camille sometime to be able to open the door since I couldn't trust my brain to come up with any code right now and we were at the risk of exposing the secret to someone who might be lurking around. She gave a dash to the door and he followed right after her in hot pursuit. I rose in pursuit but my ligament tore. Shit! Camille's breathing could be heard all over the cave. Ignoring the sharp pain coursing through my entire body, I gave a hot chase. If he was going to eat her up, he had to go through me first. We could come back to the bakery much later but for now we need to focus on getting each other out of this danger zone. Camille was still battling with a dog and I figured out that somebody must have changed it behind her back intending to confuse her. It was a planned work and we have not totally thought about it before dashing into such a place. Now that it was finally dawning on us, I was getting to see but these people were even more disastrous than they should. I didn't make the mistake of flinging my only weapon at him just like we had done the first time. If I did that I was only opening even more doors for him to annihilate us totally. He tore at her chest, with large claw marks that I could begin to see the dermis peeking out. Camille avoided all his swipes as I dragged my feet which were threatening to snap into two if I made any colossal mistake. The wolf realized that I had gotten near and turned. "Run away!" Camille instructed. It wasn't like she was holding up that much. "Bastard, are you ready to fight with me or are you helping for your Viagra to work?!" I taunted it.Lyra’s POV. "I have been involved in a few fights in my life and I am not proud of everything that I have done but the only thing you can be rest assured of, is the fact that you would never be disappointed when it comes to me." Lucius told me.My eyes lingered on him, watching the once confident man look like he was trying so hard not to break down in my presence and I kind of understood it but at the same time, realized that he was fighting some battles that would never make any sense to me except he came out clean. "Of course you had to. How is that affecting you now?""Badly, a whole lot of people have different perception about me and as much as I would have loved for me to remain anonymous my past is finally catching up with me and I have to be at the center of it all making sure that everybody has a hand in this no matter what." He wasn't making any sense with his analogy and even though I wanted to believe him to some extent, I kind of felt like there was a little something
Kael's POV.My wolf led me to the plains, that was the only place that I could be able to get answers for what I was looking for and how long he was going to take for me to fathom a reasonable explanation and why she just disappeared. Selene must have been a bastard for thinking that you'll be able to make me convinced to do whatever she wanted and not what I truly wanted. How on Earth does she even think that it was possible? I had nothing to lose but she had everything and the entire world too. The father was not even as popular as he wanted to preserve his legacy and I was doing this simply because my pack members decided to go on a long journey to make sure that I was not doing anything against what was already in the works. I had nothing to lose nor gain, but now that Selene had spoken about it I was willing to abandon a few things to seek that girl out. She couldn't have been really far away or else I would have found her by now. I also didn't have anything to say apart fro
Lyra's POV.My first move was to comb the entire area making sure that I was able to drag the few things out."Don't you have a whole lot of things that you have to put into place before we start fighting against somebody that we know is going to prevail one way or the other?" It just didn't make sense to me no matter how much they were trying to go about it and paint it to be the real thing. I had already discovered a better way of handling the situation but none of this was sufficient enough for me. I had more ideas running through my mind and until they were done, I had nothing to fight for.One thing that was certain was the fact that I decided to go on with the entire trip. For Camille to think that everything was fine on my end and I was not under any pressure to give them a correct prediction or else lead them to their doom, she was just the same like everybody else. Most of them had concluded that I was overreacting about certain things that I did which was okay by me and
Kael's POV. I didn't have much to think of but I knew that something had been going on that I have was not very attentive to and I needed to change that immediately before it was so late for me to do that anymore I wasn't obsessing over Selene but she had made very valid points and I needed to check downtown just to see what was lurking behind this scenes As a spy myself I knew that whenever there was a lot of count it was going to birth something more than a whirlwind. I didn't have much to talk about but I was very sure that there was even something else going on that needed to help in releasing the pains. I had nothing more to look for besides the obvious answers that I had gotten over a long time. I didn't also have what it took to be able to switch things up but I was sure that at some point I would be able to see what was going on and deal with it. Firstly there was nothing else that I needed to do that was going to help out. All I needed right now was to make sure that I h
Lyra's POV. One of the most amazing things that I had ever done in my entire life had to be the fact that I have been able to understand the difference between the different timelines and how to navigate through it without losing my mind.I was only committed to one and that needed all the time in the world just to be able to sort many differences out."So... Are you a little bit worried by what this might bring and how longMy heart was pounding so hard that I almost felt it leaping out of my chest. My hands were tight but I had only one will.I needed to live, even if that was the last thing that I did. There was basically no option for me and I wasn't going to take chances. "If she gets away, we are doomed!" Somebody yelled from behind me. I was a little bit irritated by the way they were acting but I couldn't blame them either. It wasn't entirely there fault the way things were going, they had just been conditioned to think that Selene wielded the entire power. I also thought
Lyra's POV. I didn't think that there was going to be a change in the fact, "I didn't have the right to change the mandate but there wasn't anything more the other day." "Are you sure that there's something wrong with the issues at hand or is this something else that you need to tell me?" Camille headed towards me with the intention to get more information out of me but that was not going to happen. I had already figured out that there was going to be a little bit of a mix up here and there and I was waiting to see how long it was going to take and what exactly I had to do to sort out the entire problems. I had taken a deep breath yet refused to look straight into what she wanted me to do. I was thinking about how long it was going to take for me to be able to sort out a few things but here I was, dealing with more issues than none. "Is this really a thing or...?"I took a deep breath refusing to answer my question because it was harmful to my person and I would love to have the
