Lyra's POV.

My first move was to comb the entire area making sure that I was able to drag the few things out.

"Don't you have a whole lot of things that you have to put into place before we start fighting against somebody that we know is going to prevail one way or the other?"

It just didn't make sense to me no matter how much they were trying to go about it and paint it to be the real thing.

I had already discovered a better way of handling the situation but none of this was sufficient enough for me.

I had more ideas running through my mind and until they were done, I had nothing to fight for.

One thing that was certain was the fact that I decided to go on with the entire trip.

For Camille to think that everything was fine on my end and I was not under any pressure to give them a correct prediction or else lead them to their doom, she was just the same like everybody else.

Most of them had concluded that I was overreacting about certain things that I did which was okay by me and I wanted to see how long it was going to take for me to fathom them all.

Lucius was on his way towards me, leaving nothing much to imagination besides the fact that he was trying to get more information from me

"Don't you think that it is high time for you to tell me what I should be expecting or do I still need to figure all of that out myself?"

Rhetorical questions didn't suit me well but I refused to give him what he was looking for.

He was looking for ways to discredit whatever I was trying to do, I had nothing to say my daddy didn't have anything to twist around apart from what I had already been able to get.

"Maybe I'm a little bit paranoid but I don't see any reason why I should be telling you things that are fake. If you don't mind me not being at ease to receive some guidance from the moon goddess I could always come up with something." I remarked demurely.

Of course he wasn't going to choose that option and I was only just giving it out because I wanted to see what his reactions were going to be.

I have lost everything else except for the ability to prove myself in certain situations and make sure that I was able to clear up all the doubts that people had about me.

At some point I was beginning to think about what more could be needed from me around here because everything just got crashing on me at once.

Pushing him beyond his limit was also something that I wanted to do to book some character development to see how long it was going to take for him to break and then I'll be able to form my opinion.

Going from people who were always talking to each other to suddenly becoming strangers because of the supplement or something that I will not be able to wrap my head around.

"If you don't have anything tangible to give to me then we can call all of this great and start over looking for ways to breach the gap. I would not tolerate any form of slander. All I need right now is some form of stability and until I can get that, we have nothing to talk about." He remarked rudely.

It was my own way of making sure that I have been able to secure everything that I wanted, limiting my movements and making sure that I was able to find a balance to whatever I was already put on.

He was treating me like a lesser person because now I was no longer useful to him.

"How do you go about treating people who do not have the supposed head power that they need to possess?"

I wasn't expecting him's respond to the question because if he did then I would be utterly devastated.

"That is not a question that you should be asking, instead you should be worried about what you should be able to bring to the table. If you have no usefulness then nobody needs you around."

It was hard for me to come to terms with the fact that I wish I can't be displaced. He didn't think I was worth the effort and no matter whatever he did he made it known.

"How do you even sleep at night with your conscience? Do you even have one?"

It was my way of making him realize that he had messed up real bad.

I didn't think it was going to change anything but what could be the harm in trying?

"You really think that this is all about you right? It's weird about what you can do or what you cannot do. Instead it's me who gets the results that I need. I have been waiting for this opportunity a long time ago now darling finally falls into my lap. You have been distracted by something that I cannot tell." He growled.

Speaking to me in hushed tones has been part of the plan, and the fact that he didn't even bother to hide it was more devastating than any other news that I could have ever received.

Kael might have had to give me up for the purpose of his pack but this one was trying to sell me but the purpose of his revenge

"Do you even care if I perish in the brimming war?"

"Uh, yes. I care if you perish because now the person that I have saved would be quenching under my watch and I don't think that suits me in any way."

I wasn't convinced by his answer at any point but I refused to push forward anymore answers and just kept watching him instead.

"I would like for you to realize that I'm not as foolish as you want to make me look. so we better get to work and do something better with our time and energy." I hissed.

  • ALPHA KAEL'S REJECTION    CHAPTER 67

Lyra’s POV. "I have been involved in a few fights in my life and I am not proud of everything that I have done but the only thing you can be rest assured of, is the fact that you would never be disappointed when it comes to me." Lucius told me.My eyes lingered on him, watching the once confident man look like he was trying so hard not to break down in my presence and I kind of understood it but at the same time, realized that he was fighting some battles that would never make any sense to me except he came out clean. "Of course you had to. How is that affecting you now?""Badly, a whole lot of people have different perception about me and as much as I would have loved for me to remain anonymous my past is finally catching up with me and I have to be at the center of it all making sure that everybody has a hand in this no matter what." He wasn't making any sense with his analogy and even though I wanted to believe him to some extent, I kind of felt like there was a little something

  • ALPHA KAEL'S REJECTION    CHAPTER 66

Kael's POV.My wolf led me to the plains, that was the only place that I could be able to get answers for what I was looking for and how long he was going to take for me to fathom a reasonable explanation and why she just disappeared. Selene must have been a bastard for thinking that you'll be able to make me convinced to do whatever she wanted and not what I truly wanted. How on Earth does she even think that it was possible? I had nothing to lose but she had everything and the entire world too. The father was not even as popular as he wanted to preserve his legacy and I was doing this simply because my pack members decided to go on a long journey to make sure that I was not doing anything against what was already in the works. I had nothing to lose nor gain, but now that Selene had spoken about it I was willing to abandon a few things to seek that girl out. She couldn't have been really far away or else I would have found her by now. I also didn't have anything to say apart fro

Kael's POV. I didn't have much to think of but I knew that something had been going on that I have was not very attentive to and I needed to change that immediately before it was so late for me to do that anymore I wasn't obsessing over Selene but she had made very valid points and I needed to check downtown just to see what was lurking behind this scenes As a spy myself I knew that whenever there was a lot of count it was going to birth something more than a whirlwind. I didn't have much to talk about but I was very sure that there was even something else going on that needed to help in releasing the pains. I had nothing more to look for besides the obvious answers that I had gotten over a long time. I didn't also have what it took to be able to switch things up but I was sure that at some point I would be able to see what was going on and deal with it. Firstly there was nothing else that I needed to do that was going to help out. All I needed right now was to make sure that I h

  • ALPHA KAEL'S REJECTION    CHAPTER 64

Lyra's POV. One of the most amazing things that I had ever done in my entire life had to be the fact that I have been able to understand the difference between the different timelines and how to navigate through it without losing my mind.I was only committed to one and that needed all the time in the world just to be able to sort many differences out."So... Are you a little bit worried by what this might bring and how longMy heart was pounding so hard that I almost felt it leaping out of my chest. My hands were tight but I had only one will.I needed to live, even if that was the last thing that I did. There was basically no option for me and I wasn't going to take chances. "If she gets away, we are doomed!" Somebody yelled from behind me. I was a little bit irritated by the way they were acting but I couldn't blame them either. It wasn't entirely there fault the way things were going, they had just been conditioned to think that Selene wielded the entire power. I also thought

  • ALPHA KAEL'S REJECTION    CHAPTER 62

Lyra's POV. I didn't think that there was going to be a change in the fact, "I didn't have the right to change the mandate but there wasn't anything more the other day." "Are you sure that there's something wrong with the issues at hand or is this something else that you need to tell me?" Camille headed towards me with the intention to get more information out of me but that was not going to happen. I had already figured out that there was going to be a little bit of a mix up here and there and I was waiting to see how long it was going to take and what exactly I had to do to sort out the entire problems. I had taken a deep breath yet refused to look straight into what she wanted me to do. I was thinking about how long it was going to take for me to be able to sort out a few things but here I was, dealing with more issues than none. "Is this really a thing or...?"I took a deep breath refusing to answer my question because it was harmful to my person and I would love to have the
