CHAPTER FIVE

LEVI

"Though you're good-looking, you're a beast. I can't be with you." She says, shaking her head innocently.

"Look, I'm only a mere human and don't have any power. What if someone tries to harm me." She gets worried and Anxiety is written all over her face. 

"I don't want to die so early. I'm just eighteen now. I didn't get my first kiss yet." She mumbles with her curled lips under her breath in a sad tone while looking down at her feet.

 However, because of my super-hearing power, I heard what she said.

She looks up at me through her lashes."Please don't take me with you." She requests meekly while pouting.

I find myself curious about her, and every now and then, I catch myself staring at her lips.

I badly want to grab her and kiss her endlessly.

No, no, no. I can't do this to her. I need to get a hold of me.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you. I won't let any harm come near to you and won't let anything happen to you." 

I watch how her face lights up in amusement.

"You…..you'll protect me?" She asks with apprehension.

"Of course." She shakes her head in an understanding way.

"Okay, you have to give me some time to consider it." She chirps, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Why so?" I inquire.

"Umm, because it's a matter of my whole life." I smile at how her expression changes into a serious one. 

"But I don't have much time on my hand. At first, you come with me, and later on, we'll figure out the solution."

She gazed at me, narrowing her eyes.

"Who are you to decide my life matter?" She throws me a hard look.

"Your mate." Saying that I lift and throw her like a sack of rice on my shoulder. I wrap my arms around her legs securely. And begin to walk to take her out of the jungle.

 She whines while struggling to free herself by hitting my back with her fist.

"Although I'm your mate. But to me, you are not, so leave me. I said let go of me." She begins to yell while constantly hitting me with her small fist. 

Why is she wasting her time and energy when she's well aware of the fact that she's nothing compared to me.

My little sunflower.

"You can't force me to go with you." She snarls at me. And I can guess her expression.

"I can, And if you keep going on like this then the consequence won't be favorable to you," My commanding tone makes her obey me. And she loosens up her body.

 Within some minutes we reached the highway. Where my beta is waiting for me with my car.

I notice a quick flash of a frown appear on his face the moment his eyes fall on me and my mate.

 

He must be wondering.

"Levi!!!" He exclaims in an astounding tone with his wide eyes.

Before he could utter a word I warned him by the mind linking. And he nods his head in an understanding way.

My driver opens the door for me and I toss her inside on the back seat and I get inside too. 

"Straight, to pack house." The driver pulls the engine and starts driving the way back to the pack house.

I glance at the front mirror and find my beta looking directly at my mate with a frown on his face.

I know there are plenty of questions that are disturbing him right now. But I won't tell him until the right time comes.

I glance at my little sunflower whose name is still unknown to me. No problem, we can talk when we get back home.

Now, I'm relieved about one thing: I don't have to worry about finding my mate. She's right here beside me.

My mate is looking outside through the window holding a sad look. It takes thirty minutes to reach our Pack house.

The driver opens the door for me but before he can do the same with my mate a growl comes out of my mouth which makes him taken aback.

My over-possessive wolf. Isn't he one who was sad when he discovers she is not a werewolf?

I rush to her side and open the door for him like a gentleman. She gives me a brief look and steps out of the car.

I hold her hand in mine and she gives me a pleading look not to take her in. I blink my eyes as a sign of assurance and give a light squeeze on her hand. 

I assist her on the way to the exit and my beta follows us.

While walking through the hall room she begins to watch around the whole house with a wondering look on her face. Every omega servant of the pack house stopped what they were doing and began to whisper about whom I brought home.

I know why they are so curious and confused as my mate is a human. I don't care what people think. What matters for me is I find her at the right time. Otherwise, the chance of becoming the Alpha King would have slipped out of my hand. 

I take her straight to my room on the third floor. While all the time she was quiet.

Unlocking the door I push it making our way inside the room. Then I let go of her hand.

"Go, and get freshen up. After that, we will discuss what to do. And I'll introduce you to my family at dinner." She lifts her gaze at me with a sad look on her face and immediately spins to walk towards the restroom without saying a single word. But halt halfway and whirl.

"I don't have any clothes." She says timidly looking anywhere but me.

"Don't worry, I'll arrange some for you." She nods and again begins to walk towards the restroom.

When she disappears into the bathroom, I pull out my phone to dial Ella's number.

"What's the matter, Levi? You don't call me unnecessarily." Within one ring she picks up the call. And speak in a sarcastic tone.

"Bring me some female clothes immediately."

"WHAT?" 

"Do I hear right? Did you ask me to bring some female clothes?" She repeats my words in an astounding tone. 

"Yes. Now bring me some."

"Did you find your mate?" I hear her surprised tone.

"Yes," I said grinning ear to ear.

"Come quickly, I'll introduce her to you," I said cheerfully.

"I'll be there in a few minutes. Well, congratulations Alpha" I smile. 

She's the first person who congratulates me on finding my mate. But her brother does not seem to be happy about finding my mate. And I'm aware of the reason.

"Thank you. I'm waiting for you." Saying that I dismiss the call and shove it inside my pocket.

Within fifteen minutes Ella reaches the pack house and knocks on my door.

"Come in." Pushing the door she enters and gives me her ear-to-ear smile making her small eyes go smaller. Here comes my best friend.

"Where is she? Inside?" I nod and she proceeds towards the bathroom where my little sunflower is waiting for clothes.

She knocks on the door and she pops out of her head through the door. 

"Hi." Ella waves her hand with a wide smile. But soon her smile turns into a frown and she looks back at me with her wide eyes with a flash of disbelief.

"She's a human?" She asks through the mind link. 

I give a nod to her as a response. 

"Your clothes." She handed her the clothes with a tiny smile. And my mate thanked her.

When my mate shuts the door Ella rushes to me.

"You didn't mention earlier that your mate is a human." A flash of disappointment appears on her face. And I sigh heavily.

"Why didn't you reject……" Her words make me wonder. And I'm offended he would even ask that, so I cut her off before she even finishes the question.

"How can you expect me to reject her when I'm in such a critical situation?" I run my fingers through annoyance.

"I can understand." She tries to come near me but I take a step back.

"No, you can't. You can't understand what I'm going through." I yell in a whisper. I don't want my mate to hear our conversation.

"But how can….." She stops in between her sentences when we hear the clicking sound of the door. 

My mate gives me a baffled look staring at me and then at Ella. 

"Did I disturb your conversation?" She asks looking at me. 

"No, we were discussing pack matters. Come over here, I'll introduce you to my best friend." I gesture to her with my hand to come near me and she narrows her eyes at me.

Reluctantly she ambles toward me and stands close to me.

I wrap my arm around her shoulder and pull her close to me.

"She's Ella. My best friend. You can say my second best friend. Because her brother Rafael my beta is my first best friend." Pointing my hand at Ella I introduce Ella to her. And Ella smiles at her.

"And Ella she's….." I stop in between when I realize that I still don't know her name.

"Hello, I'm Aurora. Aurora Bloom. You can call me Rory." My mate raises her hand to shake with Ella with a beautiful smile on her face.

 And Ella also raises her hand to shake with her.

I think she gets the point why I stopped in between. Because she also knows that I don't know her name.

"Nice meeting you, Rory," Ella says with a wide smile. And depart her gaze at me.

"Well, I've some work to finish. See you at dinner." Waving her hands she begins to march towards the door. She shuts the door behind her. 

I look at my mate and find her staring at the closed door holding a mysterious look on her face.

"Aurora." She glances at me when I take her name.

"Yes." She responded.

"What's the matter?" I ask but she shakes her head.

"Nothing.  I just discovered that she's not happy about my arrival." Her words caught me off guard.

How does she know?

"I think she loves you." Knitting her brows she speaks, waiting for me to explain.

"Umm…. Yes." I nod.

"What about you?" She narrows her eyes at me while folding her arms across her chest. 

"Do you also love her?"
