Chapter Six

Alpha Terror, Chapter Six

I was petrified by the raw power that pushed him down.

I turned to see my mate snarling at Liam.

His eyes were red, showing that his wolf had taken over.

"How dare you go near my mate, Beta?

Do you dare to hurt her?

He grabbed him by the collar and threw him against the wall.

Liam landed on the wall with another heavy thud.

He punched him, breaking the wall with him on it.

He punched him again and again until he bled.

He held him by the throat, squeezing it as if to snuff life out of him.

"Please, let him go alpha!" Miranda screamed.

He spurned around, roaring at her.

Miranda averted her eyes, bending her neck in submission.

I struggled to get up so that I could stop him from making the greatest mistake of his life, but my broken bones were not helping me.

If he is not his brother, I won't even move a muscle.

I was hurt and in pain too.

"Stop please!" I pleaded with him.

"You will kill him."

He paused for a moment, looking at me. With a look of hurt on his face, it must be my broken lip.

That infuriated him more.

"Alpha, please let him go," I begged in a soothing voice.

"I am okay, I promise.".

He stopped and dropped him to the ground as his eyes returned to normal.

It looked like he had lost control of himself before.

He moved closer to him.

"Are you alright, brother?"

Liam, annoyed by the attack, reverted to his human form.

"What is wrong with you, brother?"

"You could have killed me, but for what?

"For a woman, you did not even want in the first

Place."

Ouch, that hurts. I wish I could bash him; I wanted to hurt him too.

I had hoped that his brother smashing his head on the wall would help reset his brain.

"I am sorry, brother." My mate looked guilty because of his brother's words.

"My wolf took control; I hope I did not hurt you too much.

He brought his hands out to help him get up.

He thrust his hand away.

"I am fine," I heard Liam say in an angry tone.

He must still be pissed that his brother beat him to defend me.

I moan in pain, attracting his attention.

He ran to where I lay; he grabbed my hands, looking my body over.

I moved my leg, and with his assistance, I stood up from the blood I had accumulated on the floor.

I know I should have started healing by now, just like Liam, but I have noticed that when I get injured, it will take up to two days to heal.

I tried moving closer with my broken arm, but I couldn't.

I winced from the excruciating pain I felt.

With the speed of lightning, he was standing before me, holding on to me.

Okay, this is weird. I thought to myself,

He was staring at my face while I looked at him with a scowl.

"

What's wrong, pup? Does it still hurt?"

No, I like to wince in pain because it is a new hobby of mine, I thought in my mind.

I nod, masking the sarcastic thought in my head.

"Should I send for the physician?"

"Please, there is no need for that; my healing process just takes more time than normal."

He held my shoulders to assist me.

I followed him out without looking back.

He led me to my room and helped me lie on the bed.

"There should be something in this house that will help ease the pain."

He quickly walked out, and in a few minutes, he was back with a wooden box that contained old badges, a spirit, a pain reliever tablet, and a safety pin.

"Sorry It has been ages since we made use of these things; they have been lying around."

"Let me help you clean the wound."

Without saying anything, I turned.

He moved my hair to clean a wound in my head that was bringing out blood and water.

He helped me do that with other injuries I had.

He brought water for me to take the pain-relieving drug.

After I had taken them

He helped me lie properly in bed, fixing and arranging everything.

"Tell me, pup, how did this happen? Why is Liam so pissed that he wanted to tear you apart?"

"I did not do anything at all to him; it is because of that witch that he hurt me."

"Who is the witch that you are talking about?“ he asked.

Oh! Do you mean his mate? I am sure he won't appreciate you calling his mate a witch."

"Like, I care about that." I retorted

"Pup, Liam is a sensible man; he won't attack you for a petty reason. I am sure he will be able to tell when his mate is being fake."

"Are you trying to say that I am not sensible?"

"How did you arrive at that conclusion?"

"Anyways, that is not what I am saying; all I am saying is that my brother will not attack you for any just reason."

"You  provoked him."

"Liam said that Miranda is a little spoiled but not a bad person."

Okay, he is making me angry more.

"So it is my fault that I was attacked?"

"I  think it is Pup; he is so reasonable that he puts everyone before him."

"Alright, suit yourself. I don't care if you believe me or not, but you should leave my room."

"You mean my room, my house."

"You may have forgotten, pup. You came here with nothing; you have been eating my food and using my clothes."

"You should know that I own you."

"You are my slave; whatever I ask you to do, you are not to question it."

"The only reason you are respected in my pack is because of the mate bond; aside from that, you are worthless and a liability to me."

"I don't need you, but you won't survive without me."

I was hurt to hear him say all that, and I held back the tears that were threatening to fall.

I won't give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry.

I have been through worse.

This is little compared to what I have been through.

Even though it hurt to hear him say all this, he was right.

I needed him to stay alive.

I turned my back away from him, signifying that I did not want to speak with him.

I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep, while I waited for him to leave.

He took the hint and exited the room.

For the first time in many years, I broke down and cried.

It has been so long since I showed vulnerability.

I had to be strong since I was alone.

I was tired of being treated like a piece of trash.

My mother, who brought me into this world, treated me like everybody else, like a piece of trash.

I cried myself to sleep.

At midnight, I tried opening my eyes, but it felt like

My bones have been ripped apart.

My head pounded, and my whole body ached.

I shouldn't have drunk the painkiller.

My body has started the healing process.

My body will first break down, and my bones will be broken before they start healing.

The pain-relieving drug just made it worse.

I heard my bones breaking. The pain was too much; it was as if every bone in my body was broken to pieces.

I screamed from the pain, falling off the bed.

Someone carried me up, holding me tight.

I was too weak to open my eyes; his familiar scent hit me. I know exactly who he is, and even though I hated being in his arms, I was too weak to protest.

I tried to force my eyes open, but I couldn't since it required a lot of strength to do so, strength I didn't have.

What is he doing? Is he taking part of my pain away? That must be it.

I felt the pain lessen more and more as he held me in his arms.

He lifted me once more onto the bed, placing the cover on my body.

He went out and came back with a wet towel, drying the sweat from my face and forehead.

I struggled to stay awake; my eye was getting dim.

Eventually, I slept off.

On the second day, it was easier for me because I was almost healed completely.

I noticed that he came regularly to check on me.

I pretended to be asleep anytime I sensed his presence.

I wasn't in the mood to talk to him; I remembered our last conversation and how it hurt me.

I haven't forgotten it yet.

I need to speak with Miranda once I fully recover.

I am not afraid of her anymore.

On the third day, I was completely healed.

I was so tired of lying down.

I wanted to explore; this would help me master the pack well and know where to go to escape easily.

I am fully aware that if I run away from this pack, I won't have another place to stay; at least I will be free from all this torment.

I will be free to choose my fate.

I stood up from my bed, dressed up, and set out to look for the demon.

The Manson is divided into three parts. The alpha lived in the first part, which is also where the office is.

The second part is the beta side; the other side is where the servant lived.

The office looked like a hall because of how huge it was.

It is where they held the last assembly.

The alpha, his beta, Gamma, and one of the elders gather together to discuss issues that concern the welfare of the pack.

Whatever is discussed there, these people are under an oath; they won't reveal it; they are bound to take it to their graves.

They are allowed to if only they have agreed together to let the entire pack know.

The office is restricted if they are having that kind of meeting.

When I got to my destination, I was told by one of the servants that she had gone to see her mate.

I knew instantly where to find her.

Immediately after I arrived, I  saw that she wanted to start eavesdropping. I followed suit, raised my hand to cover her face, and then I heard a voice.

"Come in, both of you," he ordered.
