The moonlight felt like a joke tonight.

Everything I planned…everything I fought for… gone in a flash and it was all because of her.

Celeste.

The name already felt too soft in my head and too… bright.

I walked through the edge of the forest alone, away from the crowd, away from the eyes.

The trees were quiet now, as if they were watching me think.

The ceremony was supposed to be ruined.
