CHAPTER 002

Sophia's pov

“Alpha Felixo” I panicked as I looked up and saw Felixo standing over me. I had never been this close to him. Everyone in the pack knew to fear the Lombado family. I've known them for almost all my life. Everyone in my pack does too. The Lombado Mafia pack was a neighbor pack known for their ruthlessness. I’m not sure anyone in the pack was more terrified of their family like I was.

But I felt more than the typical anxiety I had anticipated as he stood there, watching me with eyes that seemed to scan my body. My body trembled for an unknown reason, but I knew it wasn't just dread because my clitoris throbbed with cold. "What brings you out here?" I pretended not to realize that he had been after me when I inquired. I did not want him to believe that I had been avoiding him out of fear of punishment.

“What is your name?” he asked instead of answering my questions.

“My name is Soph”, I replied without looking at him. I did not want to be there. I wanted to run as far from him as possible and not look at his face, especially not with him standing this close to me.

“Sophia” he said, his eyes fixed on me

“Yes… You can call me that too but it's Soph”, I replied, stuttering in fear. “I'm sorry, please don't hurt me…I didn't mean to…” I was about to apologize but was cut short by another of Felixo’s comments.

“Sophie is a beautiful name. I like Sophia, I think I'll stick to it Sophie? he replied as though he did not hear what I had just said.

“No please. I prefer to be called Soph not Sophia. Only my father calls me that” I replied, managing to look at him this time. However I looked at him with pleading eyes.

“But why?” He asked “Sophia is such a lovely name, why don't you like it?” he asked curiously and I was quiet for a few minutes considering if I really wanted to tell him the truth.

“Father said that when I was born, I was feeble and weak. He said I was not strong enough and would never fit into the pack. Unlike my sisters Clara and Claire who were both born strong babies with great wolf potentials. Also, my mother died not long after I was born. So he blamed me for her death, he also claims that I was too weak to even kill her at once. Hence, he named me Sophia because to him it denoted weakness, powerlessness, lack of control and strength” I said with downcast eyes and as I spoke the memory of it all saddened me.

“Oh. I see why you don't like the name”, said Felixo quite solemnly “I guess I'll call you Soph then”, he added, resigned. I did not respond.

“What's wrong with your leg? it looks hurt” He asked with concerned eyes.

“I sprained my ankle”, I replied, weakly.

“Alright then let's get you somewhere safe so we can look into it”, Felixo said authoritatively. With that, he lifted me as though I was a feather and walked towards the pack house.

Walking back to the Lombado Mafia pack house with me in his strong arms, his strong scent filled my nostrils. I inhaled deeply, drowning in his strong scent. It was a perfect blend of Lemon and peppermint. I noticed the absence of the grapefruit scent which I had perceived earlier and immediately realized that I had two mates, Felixo and Fernando.

Realizing this was very frightening for me. I had been worried about being bound to Felixo but being bound to both Felixo and Fernando was unimaginable. It was worse than I thought.

“I have two mates? And of all people the Lombado Mafia twins. How do I handle this situation? How will I handle this complex connection to both brothers? And to worsen it they are both Clara and Clair’s mates. What will I do?” I queried to myself as my heart pounded.

But as I tried to think about how I would handle the situation, Felixo’s strong scent kept pulling me away from my thoughts. I leaned closer to him and inhaled deeply again as I relaxed in his strong arms and how taut his muscles felt.

My eyes traveled to his neck where I immediately noticed the black lined tattoos ,which seemed to be extending from his back. I imagined what it would look like. “Oh I'd like to see the tattoo

I could trace the pattern with my fingers”, I thought and licked my upper lips as I thought about this.

I got so lost in my thoughts I did not notice how long we had been walking. “Make yourself comfortable,” Felixo told me when we reached his private quarters. He laid me on his big cozy bed. “I'll be back soon”, he added and went out of the room. When he came back , he held a small first aid box in his hand

Keeping the first aid box on a small stool by the bedside, he pulled a chair closer so he could sit in front of me. Then, he rolled the sleeve of his white shirt up exposing the tattoos on his arms. Then in an attempt to get a little more comfortable he unbuttoned his shirt.

I followed his movements with my eyes, taking note of every detail as he unbuttoned his shirt. I licked my upper lips as I watched, then he started to take his shirt off. I wasn't expecting that. By the time he was done taking his shirt off, I realized I had been gawking at him. Embarrassed, I looked away.

“Why am I staring stupidly at him? This is not the first time I'm seeing Felixo. Why am I looking at him like I've never seen him before? It's like there’s something different about the way he looks and I can really see him today. Or is it because it's been over a year since I saw him? Or could it be that I've never been this close to him? I never imagined he would be this ripped”, I thought as I drooled over Felixo.

I could not take my mind or eyes off him. His broad shoulders and built up chest as well as his chiseled face. My eyes traveled to his arms where beautiful tattoos were inscribed on his biceps and triceps. I bit her lower lip and swallowed.

He sat down on the chair he had pulled and started tending to my sprained ankle. As his cold palm touched my feet, I felt an unexpected cold flow through me. He daubed my ankle with strong ointments which eased my pain almost immediately. I had almost forgotten about my sprained ankle.

His strong arms massaging my feet felt very masculine. I had never been touched by a male in that manner. His palm felt so gentle yet firm at the same time, enough to relax me and treat the sprain as well. I fell asleep before he finished the massage and when he was done, I think he laid me down properly on the bed so I could be more comfortable before lying down beside me to rest. Because I woke up to find myself in a different part of the bed with him lying next to me. Not just him, Fernando too.
