CHAPTER 51: AWAKE

DIONNAH'S POV

I felt like I was in a dream, and in that dream, I saw a bright blinding light. The light gave me a slight headache as I looked into it. Somewhere in the light, I saw a hand outstretched towards me. I reached for the hand as I felt it was there to give me comfort and reassurance, but instead, the hand grabbed my shoulders and pushed me backward. I stumbled backward and into reality.

I heard a beeping sound before I even opened my eyes. I slowly opened them so they could adjust to the light. I scanned my surroundings for any familiarity, which wasn't there. I at least realized that I was in the hospital. I remember Derick's altercation and him firing a gun at me. I even vaguely remember falling down a flight of stairs.
