CHAPTER 52: SAY WHAT NOW?

DIONNAH'S POV

Since I got home a week ago I've been in bed the majority of the days. Even though I wasn't allowed back to work until two weeks, I've kept myself occupied by doing my work at home.

Stella visited me once in the hospital and once when I got home. She felt guilty about what took place but I reassured her that it wasn't her fault. Derick, on the other hand, couldn't face what he had done, and after the police showed up he managed to get ahold of the gun he used to shoot me and he turned it on himself and ended his life. It's a shame because I think all he needed was a little help. Michael had gotten more protective of me since the incident. He wouldn't even let me go to the grocery store by myself. I didn't mind being waited on now and again, but he was getting out of hand.

It was Saturday morning and I woke up feeling refreshed. I quietly got out of bed and went to chill by the pool. I wanted to go for a swim but my chest was still a little sore so I didn't push myself.
