War is brewing.

Jared sat down on the chair beside the big white bed and spoke again.

“Let’s get down to business Cordelia. We have no time to waste.” With a sheepish smile brewing on his face.

“Jared please.” Cordelia said with her head lowered, but Jared gave no response.

After that moment of silence, Cordelia started off by taking off her shoes as Jared stared at her.

She removed the left arm of her gown strap and proceeded to remove the other one.

Tears were almost already running down her eyes as she was undressing.

Suddenly, she heard Jared say, “stop.”

“Please stop.”

“Stop Cordelia.”

Jared was really not going to have anything to do with her.

At least, not now. “Wear your clothes properly and put your shoes back on.” Immediately, she asks him, like a child that thinks she has done something wrong. “Is this not what you wanted? Is this not what you had me brought here for?”
