"Bella come down and have your breakfast!" I heard Gisele shouting for me from downstairs and I sighed trying not to mess up my french braid.

"Coming," I yelled back before concentrating back on the task.

Just as I got done with braiding my hair, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I looked pretty if I dared say. Blowing a kiss I winked at myself and left my room picking up my bag on the way.

Trudging downstairs, I walked in on my brother and Sister in law kissing their faces off. I rolled my eyes before picking up the sandwiches she prepared and yelling a bye, came out to the front porch where I saw students walking to the school and I followed them.

It's been three months since we shifted to this state and truth be told I found this more boring than my previous hometown. The town was secluded and had literally categories where the rich elite class lived on one side in high gated communities and the middle class and lower middle class living in another part of the town.

Walking was way easier as the school was near and the weather was also pretty mild in comparison to the predictions of rain.

It had been a week since I started school as a sophomore. I was quite happy with the school environment and the teachers I got. They were nice, unlike my previous school.

We shifted from our place due to my brother's job and I wasn't old enough to live alone so I had to come with them. Honestly, I was contended to live with my brother and his family. He and Gisele were the purest and soft-hearted people I ever knew. After my mother's death, Gisele helped me out of my cocoon. She just knew how to handle things. My brother was one lucky man to have her.

Gisele was an Asian who came to the US to study and there my brother and she fell in love. Theirs was a complete love story and I simped over them.

Reaching the school I could see everyone in rush to reach their respective classes and I sighed when I realized I had mathematics first thing in the morning. Way to start the morning. I rolled my eyes and regretted the time I opted for Mathematics over so many other subjects.

Finishing my sandwich I headed to my class and met Sarah on the way. Sarah and I met on the first day of school. She studied from the start here and knew each and every corner of the school so she helped me navigate my math and coincidentally we had the same class.

She was a chatterbox and had that friendly vibe however not everyone interacted with her over the last week I spent with her and I wondered why. She was nice to me and I wouldn't be wrong to say we were becoming friends. Sarah had the most beautiful set of dimples and she was blonde. Her smile was so beautiful.

"Did you complete your homework, Arabella?" She asked me and I nodded my head as we took a seat in the front.

"It was so hard I had to take help from Hades. And the sweetheart that he is, didn't even hesitate to do my homework. I love him so much." She gushed and I smiled a little.

Hades was her boyfriend in senior year and though it was surprising that she was still a sophomore, I loved how she was smitten. Although I haven't met him at all this whole past week. She says that their classes start late so they are often coming around ten or eleven.

The professor entered the class and we quieted down as he started with the boring shit.

Halfway through the lecture, I heard someone hissing at me although I shouldn't have turned to look but my curious self couldn't stop and looked back to see a guy sitting leisurely at his desk and as soon as he realized I have made eye contact, he passed a devilish smile and winked at me. I flushed and looked away.

"Ignore him," Sarah whispered to me and I nodded slightly before focusing on what was written on the board.

It had become awkward as I sat through the lecture with him doing weird shit to get my attention but I didn't pay any heed. Boys were a big no for me. My brother restricted me from dating anyone before I turned at least 18. And I honestly didn't want to disappoint my brother. He was all I had and not to forget guys never had any interest in me. In my previous school, I was just an introvert and rarely ever talked to any boys.

After the lecture ended I was about to leave the classroom when that same boy stopped in front of me.

"Hey, I am Maverick and you are?" he said forwarding his hand. I looked at him with a small smile not trying to come out as rude and shook his hand

"I'm Arabella," I said and he nodded.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl like you." He flirted and I just smiled again. God, I didn't like him.

"Thanks. Now I should leave for my next lecture." I said trying to get him off my back.

"Yeah sure. What lecture do you have next?" He inquired and I looked at him like he was dumb. Wasn't he getting the hint.

"It's social studies," I said, making my way out before he could stop me again.

God that was awful. Sarah had left because she had world history and the professor of hers was very punctual.

I attended all my lectures before making my way to the cafeteria to have some much-needed coffee that needed to get into my system after a hectic day.

I bought a coffee and as I was about to make my way towards an empty table I saw Maverick coming towards me. I knew I couldn't talk to him any longer and I turned around ready to rush out of the cafeteria when instead I bumped into a guy spilling all my coffee on his white shirt and branded white shoes.

"What the fuck?"

Way to go, Arabella.
