The whole day went by in a blur. People came an went. Everyone was fussing over Aiden. I had attempted to reach out to him, but Ivy blocked me all the time.

There was a time I screamed at her out of frustration, and it was the scene Aiden accidentally witnessed. If course, he didn't like it .

So, instead of letting me speak with him, he took his stepmother, who kept pretending I was the mean one, and they left the house. I had no idea where they went to, and no matter who I asked around, no one could tell me .

So I didn't get any sleep at all. I watched the clock tick, and the morning it hit six in the morning, I was already up and began managing the housemaids in the kitchen, hoping Aiden would he back for breakfast.

Breakfast came and went, and there was still no sign of him.

After eating, I went to my office and called the central hall to check if he went there, as he would usually do during working days. But he didn't. They were actually surprised to see he has woken up.

So, up to this moment, I had no idea where he was, and I couldn't reach Magnus, who went home after Aiden and Ivy left the house yesterday.

I was pacing back and forth, contemplating my next move, when I heard the sound of an approaching car.

I walked toward the window and peered outside. My office window was facing the parking lot, so I saw Ivy's car driving in her assigned parking space.

My heart began thudding loudly as if it would jump out of my chest. I didn't like it. It felt like an omen that something terrible was about to happen.

Ivy excited the car and was followed by another man, but not Aiden. It was Mr Sterling, Aiden's attorney and legal adviser.

What is he doing here? And where is Aiden?

Goosebumps rose from the skin at the thoughts that flooded my head. I tried to shake it off when I heard another sound of an approaching car.

It took a while before Magnus's car came into view, and the moment the backseat door opened, I already knew why I was feeling agitated. Aiden got out of the first before he laid out his hand to someone.

And I was right, she was here.

Emmaline placed her hand on his, and soon they were holding hands. I didn't see anymore because a knock came through the door. I turned away from the window and walked back to my table.

My heart was breaking, but I couldn't let them see that. I cleared my throat before allowing the person outside.

Ivy entered my office, followed by Mr. Sterling.

“ Is there anything I can do for you?” I asked as I eased back in my chair.

“ You need to sign this document so we can move forward,” Ivy said as she strutted toward me and dropped a clear folder on my table.

My gaze slowly shifted from her to the document in front of me. I didn't need to open it. I could clearly see what's inside the paper.

Divorce papers.

“ Sign it,” she said arrogantly.

“ No,” I said firmly.

“ Aiden wants a divorce.”

“ He's the one who wants to divorce, then he should be the one asking for it. He's not a baby anymore that needs his nanny to do things for him.”

Ivy hissed as her eyes narrowed. “ Look at me. You have grown horns in just over a year. Aiden no longer wants you…”

“ Aiden doesn't remember me, but it doesn't mean he doesn't want me,” I told her in the same arrogant voice she was using, even if I didn't believe my own words.

“ Really? We'll, if I don't I know who he spent the night with, let me tell you. He was with Emmaline, and they were excited to h with each other. You could only imagine what they had together.”

“ Really? I didn't know Aiden and Emmaline would stoop so low and cheat on me when everyone in the pack knows he's still married to me.” I told her sarcastically, masking my pain at the thought of them being intimate.

Her palms slammed against the desk as she glared at me. Sign the damn paper, Aria. Do not piss me off!”

I grabbed the folder and rose from my seat before heading toward the door, ignoring her words.

“Where are you going,” she asked.

“ To my dear husband. I want to know what he's been up to.”

I could still hear Ivy talking, but I had already walked out of the office and shut the door. I prepared myself for the worst because I knew Emmaline was with Aiden.

But even if I did my best, I still came unprepared when I came into his office and found Emmaline sitting on his lap, talking to him in her angelic voice— the exact opposite of her attitude.

This was not my first encounter with her. A few weeks after my wedding, I bumped into her a number of times, and in every instance, she attempted to harass me in public by calling me names.

“ I want to speak with my husband,” I said in a cold tone, their heads snapped to look at me .

“ Don't you know how to knock?” Emmaline asked in a mocking voice.

“ Don't you know how to be decent? You're worried about me invading my husband's office when you should be checking yourself because you're sitting on his lap.”

“ Aria….” It was Aiden. He didn't say anything to her, but he must have motioned for her to stand up because she lazily got up from him.

“ Tell her to leave. I want to discuss things with you.”

Aiden took a deep breath and looked at Emmaline. They stared at each other for a while before she nodded his head.

Emmaline pouted, her shoulders slumping, but I knew it was all for the act. I didn't move until she was out of the office. After her, I closed the door and walked toward Aiden's table, sliding the folder onto him.

“ So you want a divorce,” I stated. I was trying my best to keep my voice from breaking.

  • ARIA; THE FORGOTTEN LUNA     THE END

Aria's POV The sun was fully over the horizon when we finally walked out from behind the waterfall. Aiden carried our son tucked against his bare chest, wrapped in his leather cloak. I leaned heavily on my father, the King, and my mother, Kira. My legs felt like jelly, and every step was a struggle, but the heavy, pulling pain in my gut was gone. Aiden stopped by the edge of the river. He looked down at the baby, and then at me. His gray eyes were clear now, the fog from the spell completely washed away. "He looks like you when he frowns," Aiden said. A small, tired smile pulled at his lips. "He has your nose," I replied, reaching out to touch the baby’s tiny, sleeping face. "And your stubbornness. He didn't want to wait for a bed." My father cleared his throat. He looked at the three of us, his hand still resting on his sword hilt. The gold on his armor was dented and scratched. He looked less like a king and more like a man who had just realized he had almost lost

Aria's POVThe ride to the Hidden Temple was a blur of pain and the smell of wet fur.Aiden had shifted into his large wolf form so I could ride on his back, my arms wrapped tight around his thick neck.Every time his paws hit the uneven ground, a new bolt of agony shot through my hips. My dress was ruined, dark with the blood that wouldn't stop leaking out of me. Behind us, I could hear the clatter of the King’s horses and the occasional sizzle of Kira’s magic as she threw sparks at the shadows following us.The sky above the valley was no longer just black. It was thick with swirling purple clouds, and lightning the color of a bruised plum cracked across the horizon. The air tasted like copper and ozone."We’re here, Aria!" Kira shouted over the wind.Aiden slowed down as we reached a tall stone archway hidden behind a waterfall. He moved through the curtain of water, his fur getting soaked, and stepped into a massive cavern lit by glowing blue crystals. In the center of the cave sa

Aria's POV"Damien?" Kira whispered. She was standing right next to me, her hand gripping my arm so hard her nails were digging into my skin. "Ivy’s son? I thought he was just a story."The wolf didn't answer with words. It let out a sound that was half-growl and half-laugh. It was Damien, alright. Ivy had kept him hidden for years, and now he was here to finish what the Shadow Council started. He lunged forward, his paws cracking the stone tiles like they were made of thin glass.Aiden didn't even hesitate. He stepped in front of me, his chest bare and his muscles bulging. He still looked confused, and I knew his memories were a mess, but his instinct to protect me was stronger than the spell in his brain."Get back, Aria!" Aiden shouted. He didn't have a weapon, but he lowered his shoulder and ran straight at the giant wolf."Aiden, no!" I screamed. They collided with a thud that I felt in the soles of my feet. Aiden was strong, but Damien was powered by something evil. The dark wol

Aria's POV"Aiden! No, please stay with me!" I sobbed.I felt the silver heat in my chest move down my arms. It was hot, like I was holding a bowl of boiling water. My palms started to glow, and the light wasn't soft this time. It was sharp and bright.I pressed my hands against his chest, and the silver light poured out of me. It covered Aiden like a blanket, soaking into his skin and chasing the purple smoke away. I kept pushing until my head felt light and my vision went fuzzy at the edges.Aiden gasped and his eyes snapped open. He sat up fast, nearly knocking me over. He looked around the garden with a confused look on his face. He looked at Kira, then at the burning palace, and finally at me."Aria?" he whispered. He reached out and touched my cheek, but his hand was shaking. "I know you. You're my wife. But... why are we in the dirt? Where is the pack?""He's confused," Kira said, stepping closer. She looked at the sky, which was still a sickly black color. "The spell ate part

Alpha Aiden's POVI ran up the back stairs, my claws clicking against the floor.I reached the library just as the bookshelf moved. Two men in black cloaks were trying to hack through the small door behind it. I didn't waste time talking.I lunged, my weight slamming into the first man and sending him flying into a pile of heavy history books. The second one tried to turn, but I caught his throat and tossed him aside like a piece of trash.I kicked the remaining wood of the door inward."Aiden!" Aria’s voice was a ragged sob.I shifted back to my human form, though I didn't have any clothes left on my upper body. I didn't care. I scrambled into the small, dusty room. Aria was on the cot, her face covered in sweat and her hair sticking to her forehead. Kira was standing over her, holding a small silver dagger.I pulled Aria into my arms, being careful of her large stomach. She felt hot, and her heart was beating as fast as a drum against my chest. I kissed her forehead, tasting the sal
