The whole day went by in a blur. People came an went. Everyone was fussing over Aiden. I had attempted to reach out to him, but Ivy blocked me all the time.

There was a time I screamed at her out of frustration, and it was the scene Aiden accidentally witnessed. If course, he didn't like it .

So, instead of letting me speak with him, he took his stepmother, who kept pretending I was the mean one, and they left the house. I had no idea where they went to, and no matter who I asked around, no one could tell me .

So I didn't get any sleep at all. I watched the clock tick, and the morning it hit six in the morning, I was already up and began managing the housemaids in the kitchen, hoping Aiden would he back for breakfast.

Breakfast came and went, and there was still no sign of him.

After eating, I went to my office and called the central hall to check if he went there, as he would usually do during working days. But he didn't. They were actually surprised to see he has woken up.

So, up to this moment, I had no idea where he was, and I couldn't reach Magnus, who went home after Aiden and Ivy left the house yesterday.

I was pacing back and forth, contemplating my next move, when I heard the sound of an approaching car.

I walked toward the window and peered outside. My office window was facing the parking lot, so I saw Ivy's car driving in her assigned parking space.

My heart began thudding loudly as if it would jump out of my chest. I didn't like it. It felt like an omen that something terrible was about to happen.

Ivy excited the car and was followed by another man, but not Aiden. It was Mr Sterling, Aiden's attorney and legal adviser.

What is he doing here? And where is Aiden?

Goosebumps rose from the skin at the thoughts that flooded my head. I tried to shake it off when I heard another sound of an approaching car.

It took a while before Magnus's car came into view, and the moment the backseat door opened, I already knew why I was feeling agitated. Aiden got out of the first before he laid out his hand to someone.

And I was right, she was here.

Emmaline placed her hand on his, and soon they were holding hands. I didn't see anymore because a knock came through the door. I turned away from the window and walked back to my table.

My heart was breaking, but I couldn't let them see that. I cleared my throat before allowing the person outside.

Ivy entered my office, followed by Mr. Sterling.

“ Is there anything I can do for you?” I asked as I eased back in my chair.

“ You need to sign this document so we can move forward,” Ivy said as she strutted toward me and dropped a clear folder on my table.

My gaze slowly shifted from her to the document in front of me. I didn't need to open it. I could clearly see what's inside the paper.

Divorce papers.

“ Sign it,” she said arrogantly.

“ No,” I said firmly.

“ Aiden wants a divorce.”

“ He's the one who wants to divorce, then he should be the one asking for it. He's not a baby anymore that needs his nanny to do things for him.”

Ivy hissed as her eyes narrowed. “ Look at me. You have grown horns in just over a year. Aiden no longer wants you…”

“ Aiden doesn't remember me, but it doesn't mean he doesn't want me,” I told her in the same arrogant voice she was using, even if I didn't believe my own words.

“ Really? We'll, if I don't I know who he spent the night with, let me tell you. He was with Emmaline, and they were excited to h with each other. You could only imagine what they had together.”

“ Really? I didn't know Aiden and Emmaline would stoop so low and cheat on me when everyone in the pack knows he's still married to me.” I told her sarcastically, masking my pain at the thought of them being intimate.

Her palms slammed against the desk as she glared at me. Sign the damn paper, Aria. Do not piss me off!”

I grabbed the folder and rose from my seat before heading toward the door, ignoring her words.

“Where are you going,” she asked.

“ To my dear husband. I want to know what he's been up to.”

I could still hear Ivy talking, but I had already walked out of the office and shut the door. I prepared myself for the worst because I knew Emmaline was with Aiden.

But even if I did my best, I still came unprepared when I came into his office and found Emmaline sitting on his lap, talking to him in her angelic voice— the exact opposite of her attitude.

This was not my first encounter with her. A few weeks after my wedding, I bumped into her a number of times, and in every instance, she attempted to harass me in public by calling me names.

“ I want to speak with my husband,” I said in a cold tone, their heads snapped to look at me .

“ Don't you know how to knock?” Emmaline asked in a mocking voice.

“ Don't you know how to be decent? You're worried about me invading my husband's office when you should be checking yourself because you're sitting on his lap.”

“ Aria….” It was Aiden. He didn't say anything to her, but he must have motioned for her to stand up because she lazily got up from him.

“ Tell her to leave. I want to discuss things with you.”

Aiden took a deep breath and looked at Emmaline. They stared at each other for a while before she nodded his head.

Emmaline pouted, her shoulders slumping, but I knew it was all for the act. I didn't move until she was out of the office. After her, I closed the door and walked toward Aiden's table, sliding the folder onto him.

“ So you want a divorce,” I stated. I was trying my best to keep my voice from breaking.

Alpha Aiden's POVRyker volunteered to pick up the documents from Aria's office. As soon as he left and it was just the two of us, Magnus looked at me with raised eyebrows. “ Are you okay?”“ No. Aria left.” I grunted in a low voice.“ I heard.”“ She took the wedding ring with her.”He shrugged his shoulders and eased back into his chair. “ I expected that.”My hand resting on the table coiled into a tight fist. “ Send someone to check all pawn and jewelry shops around the territory and the nearby cities. I want it back in my hands. I'll send you the description including the code engraved inside it.”“ I'll do that.”“ Do you know if she's seeing someone?” I asked after a while.“ What do you mean?”“ She said our marriage was already on a rocks before I had an accident, and we were already discussing divorce. I wonder if there was any man between us.” Although Aria claimed it was because of Emmaline and me, I wanted to know more.He shrugged his shoulders again before speaking. “ I

I went to the shower, and when I came out, my clothes were already in bed, but Emmaline was nowhere in sight. So I put my clothes on and went down to the main floor of the house. It was already nine in the morning, so everyone was already up and running except me .My stomach was already complaining, but instead of going to the kitchen, I headed toward the area where the offices were. I wanted a word with Aria so we could discuss her setup and where she should stay.I chuckled at my own thoughts. I didn't want to admit it, but the truth was, the idea of seeing her was something I was looking forward to more than the discussion. However, given what happened yesterday and the rejection that came between us, I doubt she would be up for a conversation. But I had to try.I turned to the corner and immediately halted in my spot. Emmaline and Ivy were in the middle of the hallway between my and Aria's offices, and it looked like they were having an argument based on how crumpled their forehe

Alpha Aiden's POV After the rejection, I didn't see Aria the whole day. I heard she was in her office. I didn't even bother to check what she was doing there. I had no idea what to do with her. I knew she couldn't stay here, especially since Emmaline was planning to move in, but I was also concerned for her safety. Everyone knew she was my Luna and could be the target of any danger or maltreatment. I didn't want her hurt. My people might love me, but I was sure I didn't have a good reputation with other packs. I lived in the solitude of my own territory. We thrives well both in industrial and agricultural businesses, so I had no need for other packs. I ruled as I pleased, and if failed, I learned from it and started all over again. Since I was indifferent to other packs, I was sure if they found out about her, they might take advantage. Of what? I could only imagine what terrible things they could come up with. But then, I was sure Aria was aware of this. So, surely she woul

The driver lit a cigarette and rested his back against the car, which I was grateful for. I need him outside.Markus held my arm and led me behind the bushes. I kept brushing my arm against his body before I smiled at him when I finally faced him.His eyes swirled with lust as he licked his lips. He was good-looking. A boy next door type that you wouldn't even think he was a pervert. “ My hands…” I mumbled.“ I can break your neck if you try to run. “ He warned me.I nodded. He untied me , and I rubbed my hands together, my eyes darting to the pockets. “ Can you turn around?”“ Of course not. I'll watch you…”I playfully rolled my eyes at him, flashing a seductive smile— the one I would use if I wanted to play with Aiden. My heart was thundering in my chest because I was playing with fire. But I had no choice. I needed to get out of here alive.I had no idea if Marku

Aria's POVAfter I was pulled inside the van, I ended up in a awkward position. I was seated but lying on my side and with my hands tied behind me. It was harder to move. I struggled to break free for a while, but it was useless, so I slowed my breathing and did my best to calm down.I didn't want to freak out. I didn't want to give them any reason to reason to hit me and make me unconscious. And I guess it worked. The man beside me pulled me up and helped me sit straight before tugging away the cloth around my neck. “Sign this,” he said.My eyes roamed around. There were only three males with me, and they didn't even hide their faces. But it was so dark I couldn't see them fully, and I doubted I had met them before. They looked and felt unfamiliar to me.“ What's that?” I asked.“ Don't ask. Just do it.” The man seated in the passenger seat turned around and pointed a gun at me.I swallowed and kept my on his fingers. I had no idea if I could dodge once I saw him press it, but then w

And he did all of that tonight.I finally decided to stay and sleep beside him.I couldn't wipe the smile off my face even after I closed my eyes and hugged me tightly.
