Tears poured out of my eyes more as I watched my mum walk out of sight. I still couldn't believe all that was happening. She was finally getting what she needed. And I didn't spend a dime on it.
"Enough with the tears Elizabeth. It's getting uncomfortable." David finally spoke. That ego in his voice coming back to life. Making me think he was only nice when my mum was around.
He turned and began to take his leave also signaling me to follow him. I wiped my tears and followed him from behind.
I still had to thank him. I promised myself not to do anything to upset him for a while. Just do as he says. I opened my mouth to say something but then my phone vibrated, distracting my attention.
