CHAPTER TWENTY SIX
~Elizabeth ~
It was already time to leave work, I did not want to leave my office though. I did not want to have to face the people who would laugh or mock or feel pity for me. I just wanted to blend in back. Yes, David did say to ignore them, but it was almost impossible to. Especially when they were standing close to you.
I watched the door knob of my office twist, but I was too absent minded to react to it. Then David poked his head through it. "You ready?"
"What?" I raised a brow at him. He stared at me for a while, then decided to bring his entire body into view by entering my office and shutting the door.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked and I nodded in understanding.

~DAVID~Was it something I said? Or didn't say?I watched her walk away from us slowly. My head began to think of anything I might have said that made her upset. But I didn't say or do anything. The argument we had earlier was a peaceful one, it was something to laugh and be happy about. She told me she loved me, it was the best thing I heard so far."I'll go talk to her." I volunteered as I also left the dinning table too. I walked briskly to the door, my head still trying to think of what to tell or ask her. She was upset, I knew that, what I didn't know was at who and why?Shaking off my thoughts, I twisted the door knob and opened it. ~Elizabeth~I shuffled around my bed for the umpteenth time, trying to reach for the alarm clock again to press the snooze button. Just when I thought I had reached it, I fell hard to the ground and my body made a thud sound. "Ouch." I pouted lowly as pain jolted in. I stared up at the table clock and then fell backwards to the ground when I realized how late I was. Although I immediately regretted my decision to fall back as the back of my head began to hurt badly. With a loud sigh, I reluctantly got up from the ground and walked towards my bathroom. I shivered as goosebumps covered my skin when the cold water hit me. Letting out a shaky breath, I allowed myself adjust to the water. The ache did not stop banging at the back of my head and even water did not seem to cool it off. The thought of having to go back to work and sit in the almost enclosed room just made my body weak. That was not as worse as having people stare at me all because of the video that already went viral. David

~ELIZABETH~My mind was still blown by the news, we were going to London, and not as a business trip. "A vacation?" I questioned still in disbelief. David rolled his eyes, not bothering to reply me."Why?" I kept pushing. "We have work, we can't just leave it. You're making this entire relationship thing weird. Is this what people together do?!" ~Elizabeth~"I still can't believe that you didn't plan it through," I argued for the umpteenth time and David pretended like he did not hear me."David!" ~ELIZABETH~"Shh, this is where it gets interesting," David shunned me, placing his hands in my face. The thought of licking it away from my face crossed my mind, but only God knew where the palm had been to so I decided against it. It was almost mid night and we were both still stuck with a movie. Well I was stuck with a movie with him. He insisted on watching it with me around and he made sure that I didn't even get a shut eye. "Can I at least go get water to drink?" I asked for his permission. David was way too focused on the movie to even reply me, but I took it as a yes and I left for the kitchen. It was 11:26pm and Beauty was not home yet. David probably had not noticed yet and I was not exactly planning to bring it to his notice, in case he chose to flare up about the matter. ~ELIZABETH~It was almost mid night, Beauty had for sure gone to sleep already. Since David walked out on me few hours ago, I hadn't heard from him. He still needed to calm down, so I was giving him the grace of tonight and tomorrow. I had picked up a pillow and blanket to spread on the couch so as to spend the night. I had no idea what room to sleep in, Beauty obviously didn't want me in her room and David has slammed the door shut. Not like I would want to sleep in his room in the first place. There were two rooms left, one for Kelvin and the other for their mother. I had no access or permission to go in there. Plus the couch was not so bad. ~DAVID~"David!" I jerked up at the sound of my name. "What the–" I stuttered with wide eyes as I scanned the room for the intruder. No one was even in there with me. "Wake up! Elizabeth says breakfast is ready," Beauty said. Then I realized she was the one that yelled my name before I woke up. Hissing, I got out of bed. The thought of actually taking a bath or brushing my teeth before leaving my room crossed my mind but I shrugged it off. But then I remembered that Elizabeth was just downstairs and she definitely was not ready to see the careless and dirty side of me. So I concluded on brushing my teeth. It was better than nothing. ....Sluggishly, I walked out of the room to find my sister and scold her for yelling too loud. My head hurt from her scream and I could have sworn that I hit it on the bed frame. My scheme and plan for my sister's dismay vanished when the aroma of something cooking met with my nose. It felt like heaven and I was going to exaggerate however I wanted.
