Chapter 10

Aurora's POV

I swirled around to find Ginevra glaring at me with a disapproving scowl, while I met her icy stare with a look of nonchalance. If she thought that she could intimidate me into saying anything that I didn't want to say to her then she had to be joking.

"What are you planning to do?" She reiterated.

"Nothing that concerns you, Ginevra. Am I not allowed some privacy in this house?" I tilted my lips to the side with a cocky stare.

She was thrown off balance by my response but I didn't care. Someone needed to put her in her place and I was willing to do it wholeheartedly.

She turned the door knob, pushing the door quietly as I gasped. If I knew that she was this discreet, I'd have locked the door before making the call but that would have only brought more suspicion.

I moved away from the window and clutched tightly to my phone. I couldn't understand what set my body on edge whenever I was around her, and my instincts always gave me a bad signal when she was ne
