CHAPTER FOUR: FIRST IMPRESSION III

Aurora rushed into the dressing room with a sorry look on her face while the head nurse kept glaring at her.

" Do you even care about the reputation of this hospital Aurora?" She asked in an authoritative voice and Aurora could only look at her apologetically, it wasn't her fault she came few minutes late. The traffic from her house was bad.

" I am really sorry ma'am, the traffic was really bad" she replied biting her lips.

" Hmmm, Liam has been asking about you all morning and won't even take his medication, we also tried calling you but to no avail".

" I will check on him now" she answered quickly as she slipped into her uniform and dashed out of the room.

She had a silent prayer on her lips as she walked towards Liam's room, she knew his father would not spare her even at the slightest. 

" Holy virgin please save me" she muttered to herself quickly making the sign of the cross, she held the handle and pushed the door open and immediately two pairs of eyes flew to her direction.

"Unique eyes" Liam squealed excitedly as his lips curved up in a sincere smile, " I thought you abandoned me" he added joyfully and she smiled at his bubbly behavior but deep inside of her, she could feel shivers running down her spine as 

Malcolm continued to glare at her.

" I am sorry I came late, traffic" she apologized sincerely and Liam smiled.

" It's okay unique eyes, you just have to feed me my breakfast and medications and you should do that fast, " he covered his mouth like he was wanted to whisper to her, " even papa has not eaten".

She glanced at the man sitting casually on the sofa and for a moment she stiffened, was that anger towards her in his eyes? 

" I am really sorry Mr…."

 He cut her short, " feed him" was the only thing he said before he walked out of the room but not before kissing his son's forehead.

" Papa looks very angry but not to worry, he won't chew you up".

" I really angered him this time, I am really sorry" Nurse Aurora added as she placed her hands on both ears and Liam laughed at her cute behavior.

" I will talk to papa for you, now you should feed me. I am really hungry".

" Yes champ" she replied smiling as she began to feed him joyfully.

Malcolm was standing outside the door listening to the chuckles coming from his son's room and he couldn't help but sigh. He was mad and he needed to vent his anger, how could she not be here on time when she knew how important it was for Liam to take his medications on time and he even refused to take it from any other nurse and not even his own father. He couldn't help but be mad, his first impression of her was absolutely right….. careless.

His musing was interrupted by the sound of the door and he saw her walk out of the room, immediately his eyes darkened and the aura around him changed completely. The letter couldn't help but shiver under the scrutinizing gaze of the tall man standing in front of her.

" I am really sorry sir, it was not intentional and I promise not to be careless with Liam again" she didn't know when she started apologizing but she knew that was the only thing that could save her right now, if this man complained about her to the hospital's director she would lose her job and she just couldn't handle that.

" What did I tell you yesterday?" He growled softly, his eyes not leaving her even for a minute.

" That I should be careful when it comes to Liam" she couldn't stop herself from gulping, how threatening this man looked.

" And what happened?".

" I am very sorry sir, I promise to pay more attention".

He gave a menacing laugh and She couldn't help but step three paces away from him, did he have to be so terrifying?

The sound of the door Interrupted them again as Liam's adorable face came into view.

" What are you doing and why did you get out of bed?" Malcolm asked as he knelt in front of his son, immediately his dominating aura was replaced with a calm demeanor and Aurora could only marvel.

" I knew you were going to scold unique eyes for coming late papa but it is really not her fault you see" he replied.

" Who told you that?".

Liam pinched the space between his eyebrows just like his father," she has said it more than three times since she entered the hospital papa, traffic".

At that moment, Aurora felt the urge to laugh, it looked like the son was much more understanding than his father but she couldn't because even if this man had his back turned to her, she could still feel his chills .

" Let's go back inside and don't remove your IV drip" he warned sternly before picking him from the ground to enter the room while little Liam gave Aurora a thumbs up before his papa entered the room.

" Naughty" she muttered to herself smiling before walking down the lone hallway.

Once Malcolm tucked his son back into bed, he sat down on the space on the bed but he had a Stern look on his face.

" What happened papa?"

" Do you know how dangerous it is to remove your IV by yourself?" He scolded and the little boy pouted.

" But you were scolding unique eyes when it was not her fault that she came late and she even tried to explain to you papa".

Malcolm raised his eyebrows, he couldn't believe his ears. His son was defending that Nurse?.

" Do you like that nurse more than me now Liam?" He asked like a jealous husband and Liam smiled.

" I love papa the most in this whole wide world" he beamed and Malcolm smiled, he didn't want to even believe that his son would like that nurse more than him, he was that possessive.

" Don't you have work today?It's already 9 AM papa".

" Papa will stay with you today champ" he answered as he ruffled his hair, with his son he didn't need to pretend to be cold hearted.

" You don't need to papa, nurse Aurora is here and moreover you have a meeting today right?".

Once again his son made him speechless, how was he so thoughtful of others even at a young age?

" Yes but I can reschedule, I don't want to leave you alone here".

" You don't have to worry papa, I am in safe hands okay?"

He sighed, it was true that he had an important meeting that morning but part of him didn't want to leave Liam alone especially not with that careless Nurse.

" You have nothing to worry about, I am a big boy and I can also take care of myself. Moreover, I have my phone here. I will call you in case anything Happens".

" You don't have to worry sir, I won't leave this room until you get back" Aurora spoke from the door as she entered the room, she had a box of chocolates in her hands.

" You brought my chocolates?" Liam smiled widely, he just mentioned it in their conversation and she caught on it.

" Yes and this is my favorite also," she replied, smiling at him.

" Let's talk outside" Malcolm Interrupted her before walking outside in slow strides.

" Enjoy, I will be back".

Once outside,his loving aura was replaced with that cold look again and she couldn't help but shudder.

" I have an important meeting at the office and like you said do not leave this room no matter what"

"Rest assured sir I won't".

" He shouldn't eat too many sweet things," he added before walking back into the room.

" Hey" a voice called behind her and she jolted seeing Danny smiling creepily at her.

" Quit doing that Danny".

" What did you and Malcolm talk about?" She asked raising one of her brows Mockingly and Aurora could only sigh.

" He has a son admitted here Danny, watch what you say and what are you doing here by the way?".

" I also have a VIP patient to take care of"

" Then get to it and stop being a gossip Danny" she added while smiling.

" You should fill me in on everything later" Danny whispered before walking off.

" What a gossip"

" If you are done gossiping you should come inside now,I need to leave for work" a cold voice spoke behind her and her heart almost jumped out of her skin, it was Malcolm.

" Coming sir" she mouthed before entering the room.

After dealing out some instructions, Malcolm finally left the safety of his son to Aurora before leaving the hospital.

" Bring me more chocolate on your way back papa" he called to his father who waved at him.

" So what do you want to do champ?" Aurora asked as she settled herself close to him.

" You should tell me everything about you so I will know what and what I am allowed to do around you" he answered jubilantly as he rested his head on her shoulder.

" Okay then but before then, let's get you changed".

" Sure" he beamed and she couldn't stop herself from pulling him to a tight hug.

" So cute," she whispered over his hair.
