NIGHTMARES OF LIANA

The wind from the sea blew rumbling Emeliana's hair, thereby, kicking off the tears that rested on her cheek

She kept pacing round the beach in search of her daughter, there was a single soul left behind and it's getting dark already

"My pride, what's wrong ? You came to the beach alone ? ", Fredo's voice quenched her movement

She flicked her head backwards to get him taking long steps towards her

Her body in fear

"My daughter Maricar, yes Maricar ", the words escaped her throat unknowingly

Vilfred narrowed his eyes in confusion, he wasn't able to get were her sentence is heading to

"Maricar, anything about her ? Uhmmm ! Where's she ? ", Our of his baffled feelings, the curious questions hit her ear

Liana stiffened at a place staring at the sand

" I came with her to the beach, but unfortunately I dozed off within minutes only for me to wake up without seeing her around again…

"Tell me you're joking, Liana... where is my heiress ? ", He shrieked out in anger

Liana stepped backwards, " that's what I explained to you through the phone, Vilfred...I can't stand it if I don't get my daughter "

Vilfredo began walking around the beach, the made sure to search in every corner of the beach...yet there eyes couldn't ascertain Maricar

"You're the only heiress to the Zoren's family...the only hope I have and my successor. Don't do this to us sweetheart, please come back to us ", he murmured amidst tears

He left the corner to meet Liana laid on the floor unconscious,his heart began beating faster

This will be so awkward if he loses his wife within a moment

"Liana please don't do this to me, you're everything that I have ", he cried out while lifting her into his arms

He Swifted towards the car and laid her in and they kicked off from the beach

Still on the way, he contacted the doctor to come over instantly after revealing the condition of his wife to him

Before he could arrive home, the doctor was already awaiting for his presence

"I need her to get awake instantly, doctor. Please make sure she's alright ", Fredo referred to the doctor

The door of the room was rapped open and Giberto walked in , on sighting Liana laid lifelessly on the bed...his heart skipped repeatedly

"What's wrong with her Fredo ? Huh ! What about Maricar ? Hope she's safe ? ", His eyes widened while letting the questions pass through his gullet

Fredo lifted his head staring at him, " my pride is much important to me now, I need to see her eyes open "

The doctor stepped backwards away from Liana sparing the two brothers just a glance

"Soonest,she will be awake...her heart beat is okay….

"Are you sure of this doctor ? Hope there isn't any sickness developed in her attributed to the fear ? ", Fredo gripped the doctor's palm

Giberto tapped his shoulder, " you aren't saying anything to me, what's going on here ?"

"Gibert, your brother needs to have a rest too. As for you Fredo, your wife is okay ", he remarked and left the room

Fredo found himself seating on the sofa,his two palms gripped his forehead

" Vilfred, you aren't….

" Let me be Gibert, just like the doctor said, I need a rest okay ", he remarked cutting off Giberto's sentence

The winking of his eyes let the tears that gathered in it roll down getting Gibert more baffled

But he had to leave since Vilfred wasn't ready to utter a word to him

He was well convinced that everything wasn't okay, but had to keep things hidden from his parents until Fredo opens up to them on what's going on

In the sitting room, Mr Alexandro whistled so loud out if happiness, he sipped from the juice placed on the little table before him

"Housekeeper... housekeeper ", he called out smiling

"I'm here Sir ", the lady replied some miles away from him

He stared at her completely for a while, " go tidy up my room ", he ordered her

Instantly the lady left upstairs to work as she has been ordered

"Grandpa, Grandpa...you seem to be so happy. Share your news with me ", Lucien uttered running towards him

He laughed out so loud placing the glass back on the table

"That's my smart grandson... grandpa is overwhelmed with happiness…

"Then tell me what the news is all about, I'll love to be happy too ", Lucien commented

He drew Lucien closer to himself

"You know when I heard that Vilfredo is married, I wasn't sad. Not until his wife begot a daughter, the one and only heiress tomorrow….

"What's that for grandpa ? It's a good news yet you were sad ", Lucien uttered twisting his face

Mr Alexandro tapped his cheek, " you've forgotten already that we're fighting to get the company under our power. Common Lucien, that baby will be an obstruction to our wish "

"How do you mean grandpa, this is confusing ", Lucien muttered scratching his head

"Uhmmm ! After my brother Antonio, Vilfred will have to take over the company... and you know what, as long as he has a child , the company will never be under our control. Maricar his daughter will have to take over after him ", he explained further

Lucien stared at him curving his lips, " grandpa, you mean Maricar will take over the company instead of me ? "

" Yes son, that's what I mean ", Alex uttered

Lucien contorted his face squeezing his palm , " oh no ! That will never take place, I need to own the company instead….Huh ! Little Maricar can't take my place, I won't let him over shadow me "

" You don't need to shiver son, Maricar is lost and nowhere to be found ", Mr Alexandro assured him

He widened his eyes, " how did that happen grandpa ? Do you know anything about her disappearance ?"

" On my way back home, I met Vilfredo's doctor leaving the compound,we exchanged pleasantries and at same time I cared to know the reason for his visit. He told me that Vilfredo's wife is unconscious attributed to Maricar's sudden disappearance at the beach ", he narrated to the hearing if his grandson

Lucien glanced at the wall clock, " it's almost 7pm grandpa, yet Maricar isn't found yet. Uhm ! I feel for them but I'm glad to be the heir to the Zoren's wealth. No one will ever take this position away from me "

The both chuckled

" But grandpa, how do you think uncle Fredo will feel loosing her one and only daughter. Pa Antonio might fall sick on hearing this. You know, Maricar is the only hope they have as at now ", Lucien stated relaxing on the sofa

Pa Alexandro laughed out so loud, " indeed you have a soft heart Lucien...you don't feel that way towards the Antonio's okay, besides, I lost your parents and here I am "

"Grandpa,will u ever see them again ? I want my parents back ", Lucien began sobbing

He cuddled him into his arms trying his best to make him feel happy

Night fell through

The clock ticked audibly to the hearing of Fredo, he glanced at it and looked off

His eyes met that of Liana who sat on the bed in tears... her cheeks were so florid and her eyes swollen

"Don't cry your eyes out Liana, I'll make sure Maricar is found ", he assured her

"How's that possible when we know nothing about her whereabout ? We aren't sure if he's alive or not. Where are we to start from this ? Isn't it better that I'm lost other than my daughter ? ", Liana stated amidst tears

Vilfredo stood from the sofa straight to the bed, he sat beside Liana wrapping her palm

"Emeliana, you're my pride... it's so awkward that our daughter is missing, but that isn't the end of life. Believe me, some days we'll find her. As for now,you need to comport yourself, I don't ever want to lose you for any reason please ", he uttered

Liana stared into his eyes and sniffed, "it's all my fault, I feel guilty for everything that happened. I need you to forgive me Fredo, for making you loose the only hope you have...the only heiress of the Zoren's. Pardon me please...pardon me I beg of you "

"Don't say that again Liana, withdraw those statements off your lips. It isn't your fault in anyway…...I believe you were drugged and the baby was abducted. Trust me, I have this feelings that Maricar is alive and safe ", he remarked assurably

Liana laid her head on his head and dozed off

After about an hour if affixing himself in a very deep thought about what is going on, he made her lie comfortably on the bed

His eyes caught the photograph on the little table beside the bed, he grabbed it instantly

Tears rolled down his eyes on sighting that it's Maricar's photograph...he reminiscenced on the memory he shared with the little baby

He Missed Maricar

The only one he has and the joy if his family

"Maricar... Maricar my sweetheart ", Liana yelled out while asleep

He dropped the photograph clutching her palm

"This is a nightmare ", he murmured

"Maricar my baby... Maricar ", Liana screamed out again letting her eyes open

She began glancing at the corners of the room in search of Maricar but could only find her husband wrapping her

"Liana get back to reality... Maricar isn't here ", he muttered to her hearing

She shook her head, " No, I found a hand taking her off the babysitter and it fell beside the sea...but Maricar wasn't there anymore, she's alleged to be beside me….I need my Maricar "

Vilfred rubbed her hair, " don't go insane because of what just happened, everything will be alright"

" What do you think your family will do about this ? There actions towards me ? ", She referred to him

He shut her lips with a passionate kiss
