Chapter 6 :Vanishing hope

Rogue watched, awestruck by Lucifer's transformation. He could feel the power inside of him trying its, best to reach out and grab the tendrils of Lucifer's power. ‘So this is the true extent of a devil Queen, so frightening ’ Rogue thought moving back from Lucifer and the dragon.

Lucifer, folded her hands into fists and she applied pressure to her feet, destroying the cobalt blue stones as she launched herself towards the Dragon's head, she was so fast the dragon did face a chance to react as she grabbed it by the face and slammed it on the cave with her strength destroying the back part of the cave.

Lucifer was counting the minutes she had, from fifteen minutes she only had fourteen left. With a boisterously battle cry, she once more delivered a series of punches to the Dragon's abdomen, each punch releasing a massive shockwave as a byproduct and destroying the terrain.

The cave shook as the dragon was sent outside, into the open where it unfolded its wings and took flight having the room to maneuver. Lucifer seeing this, once more launched herself at the dragon however, this time it caught her with its large claw hurling her to the snow covered floor.

The impact Lucifer's body made with the ground, shook the realm and she felt pain coursed through her body making her spew out saliva mixed with blood from her mouth. Lucifer carried herself up and glared at the dragon.

‘Nature is my ally, water is my compatriot, Mind eye Hieroglyph : Soul chain’ she thought, extending her right hand upwards aiming at the dragon, her purplish metaphysical essence coating the arm, as a whole and from the core of the palm she shot out a ball of purple which broke the sound barrier.

With the attack drawing closer, the dragon too unleashed its own attack, plasma gathered in its mouth and with a thundering roar it released the plasma breath. The two attacks collided and fierce winds picked up scattering everything away, the earth shook.

‘Seven minutes left’, Lucifer thought as she once more closed in, on the dragon, her wings opened. Once in range, she punched the dragon on the torso, pushing it back but she didn't end there.

With her supernatural strength, she extended her right hand and grabbed on the dragon's leg, twisting around and she let go sending the great serpentine spiraling to the ground. But what she didn't calculate was the place it was gonna fall, which was atop of the cave where Rogue was hiding.

“ROGUE GET AWAY!!!!” Lucifer yelled at the top of her lungs, her eyes wide as she couldn't believe she made such a careless mistake and put Rogue in harm's way 

Rogue's eyes widened as he saw the colossal body of the dragon, descend upon him like a meteorite. It was fast and with him being propelled by fear to stillness, he couldn't move. ‘This is how it ends?’He thought, the loud voice of Lucifer screaming out to him fading away.

The dragon smashed on the ground with a loud boom, creating a crater that is deeper than a human, but it wasn't out yet.

Rogue opened his eyes, expected to be greeted by the angels welcoming him to the afterlife but that didn't happen. Instead a suffocating painful feeling tore through his body, his teeth grinned and he tried his best to not scream.

“I-I am g-glad you are safe” Lucifer mumbled, and she collapsed next to Rogue. Rogue turned looked at her and witnessed the large gash on her back and the insanely amount of blood pooling around them turning the snow from white to red.

“Lucifer, Lucifer, LUCIFER!!!” Rogue wailed to the heavens, tears streaming down his face as he hugged her body, he thought Lucifer was dead, his heart stopped beating for a few seconds. 

“ Pathetic, to think I trusted you to protect our mate and yet she got hurt due to your carelessness” The abyssal voice made itself known although speaking alone, as it's menacing hands reached out once more lending Rogue its power.

Rogue's heart beat returned to optimal functioning, but the sigil from before was present on his chest, hues of crimson began circulating around him and the wind picked up as well, placing Lucifer down. Rogue glared at the dragon.

The dragon glared back at Rogue initiating a staring contest between the two. Overwhelmed by grief Rogue pointed at the dragon's head and the same purplish beam was shot from his finger towards the dragon, the dragon took flight making the beam miss.

A snarl manifested on Rogue's face, as he never expected the dragon to dodge the attack. “So infuriating, Come down now” Rogue articulated in a sinister tone reaching out to the dragon with his right hand.

Gravity exacerbated around the dragon, bringing it crashing down on the snow floor creating another crater. The possessed Rogue wasn't done as he moved his hand up, then to the left and brought it down.

The dragon still under the effects of gravity was levitated and it followed Rogue's hand motion, it's colossal body moved effortlessly to the side, where gigantic icicles protruded from the ground, it descended and was impaled however it didn't die yet.

Rogue tilted his head looking at the dragon, the dragon seeing that he was looking at it. Shot out a plasma blast from its mouth as it was incapacitated by the icicles, Rogue's left hand was moved up and it absorbed the plasma blast in mere seconds. “ Right here's what you gave me” Rogue said releasing the blast again this time with three times the strength.

A huge explosion occurred as the blast, met the dragon. The energy in the blast rising sky high before vanishing leaving a crater the size of half an asteroid on the snow floor, the snow around the battlefield was vaporized leaving only hard ground.

The dragon laid there lifeless, it's scales shattered into bits and pieces by the attack itself. “ You finally died you low life scum” Rogue uttered walking forward only to collapse face first on the snow exhausted, The power hues vanishing away.

Ashlee and is contingent finally, made their way through the shrine and into the realm where Rogue and Lucifer were, upon arrival they were greeted by a beam of energy travelling skyward then followed a shockwave.

Ashlee smirked and reverted back to his human form. “It seems like we have found our catch boys, let's move” he addressed the contingent, his tone having a cocky feel to it, he then sniffed the air and the contingent moved swiftly with him spearheading their charge.

It didn't take them long to arrive at the battlesight and, they were once again welcomed by sight of a a crater that was ninety meters deep and within it was a dragon. Ashlee whistled and ordered his men to grab Rogue while he went for Lucifer.

“Such a shame a beauty like you can't be my Luna, but no matter I can always force the council to agree” Ashlee said to an unconscious Lucifer licking her cheek with his long tongue, his left hand grabbed her hair and he pulled her to her feet, placing his right hand on her chin making her look up at him even though she was out cold.

“ Now then Rogue was it, I think it's time you gave me that power but firstly, I'll play around with you. Hold him straight men” Ashlee commanded, his men fearing him nodded and held Rogue up straight with both of his hands outstretched to the side and firmly grasped.

Ashlee walked towards Rogue, dragging Lucifer behind him and squatted down before the reincarnation of Escliffe. “ You've been a bad BOY!!!” Ashlee added the emphasis on boy slugging Rogue in the face with a strong right, a cracking sound reverberated around the location as an aftermath of the hit itself.
