08. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid Axel.

The calming breeze seemed to come to a halt at that fateful moment. The silence shattering as the wolves infiltrated, about twenty of them.

They snarled and growled, their eyes aglow with a sinister gleam, one that illuminated their evil intentions.

My knees buckled as I trembled, I could feel immense fear pulsating in my veins as I casted a terrored gaze upon the menacing wolves.

"Shit." I heard Axel say and I was startled, my attention immediately spiraled to him - for a moment there, I had been too consumed by fear and had forgotten he was here.

He was up on his feet at that instant, the drowsiness in his eyes had surprisingly fizzled away.

All I could see now was an unyielding resolve and a readiness to battle.

His gaze had narrowed, laser-like and intense, as he locked eyes with the wolves.

With a swift motion, he tossed his bottle of alcohol aside; the shattering of black-colored glass punctuating the tension in the air.

And then, the transformation began.
