12. A Shadow Of Passing In His Hazy Mind

I ran away from Magnus' palace last night, never to return there again.

I was back in my Kingdom, home sweet home, and reunited with my parents. It was quite a shocker yet, a blessing to see them both alive and well.

I was happy to see that the castle's gates weren't torn down, to see the bright smiles on everyone's faces and to see that the ground wasn't stained with blood nor littered with dead bodies.

Everything seemed perfect. Just as it was before.

Although, I found it a bit surreal to absorb the phenomenon of rebirth – it was strange and to dwell on the thought was nerve wracking.

I couldn't understand much about it and the more I tried to think about it or read up on it, the more confused I got.

So I snapped all the books shut and returned them to the library.

I would instead, spend the rest of my days thanking the Moon Goddess for this unexplainable blessing.
