Chapter 12: Scariest Thing

Cassandra POV:

My front door was finally opened and we both peeked outside. It was just Dome, Ricky's bodyguard. What a joke? Why would he act so vigilant over opening a door?

"Sir, your clothes and food for dinner," Dome said seriously. That guy was really scary to be looked at. He never smiled. I couldn't help but felt hostile toward him.

Ricky opened the door fully this time and Dome leaned over to give the stuff he brought to Ricky. There were a few pieces of suits and casual clothes with hangers and Ricky gave them to me, signalling me to put them away. To where? To where, Ricky? Did you expect me to put these in my wardrobe? I gaped at him in disbelief. Did he plan to stay at my house for a few days?

Ricky took the food from Dome and closed the front door again. He swiftly went to my dining table and carefully served the food on it. I still gaped at him while holding all his clothes, staring at him to demand his explanation.
