Met With The Ruthless Ethan

It's been three days since the entire thing. I have done all the necessary checkups, my fertile eggs have been retrieved as well, the only thing they are doing now is the implant.

“Can you spread your leg a bit wider,” the doctor said, calling my attention back to the present, I am currently lying on the hospital bed, wrapped in a thin blue sheet, my legs are hanging in the air so as to give access to the doctor.

“Okay, it is confirmed,” the doctor said, although I don't understand what he meant by that but I still nodded nevertheless.

“You will be sedated now,” fear flashed across my eyes, injection is one thing I hate so much so hearing that I will be injected made my pressure shoot up. I felt a sharp pain in my arm and that was the last thing I heard.

“Is she going to be fine?” This was the first thing I heard upon waking up, a cold voice with sexy depth.

I licked my lips to get rid of the pale flakiness, I cleared my throat, making all heads turn in my direction.

“Hi, how are you feeling?” Doctor Tonia asked as she rushed to my side. My lips formed a stiff smile while my eyes were locked onto the back profile of the standing man.

“Who is he?” I asked In a very low voice, trying to avoid him hearing. It was as if he could hear through the silence, he turned around, earning a gasp from me.

‘Is he an angel?’ I asked myself.

The man strode towards me and the closer he got, the more his extinct features got clearer, how glassy hazel eyes shone with the little ray that settled in the room, his soft cute lips complemented his very fair skin, his long lashes were curled up to look heavenly handsome.

“Are you done gawking?”

I cleared my throat and hid my face in embarrassment.

“I am Ethan, we will be doing this business together.”

My eyes widened in exaggeration, why is he so much of a businessman?

It was as if he didn't notice my facial reaction or perhaps, he noticed but chose to ignore it.

“My assistant will be here soon, you can tell me the benefits you want,” Ethan said, his thin eyes staring down at me.

My mind wandered off for a while before I finally came to a conclusion, “I will love to go back to college,” I decided.

“Done, what is your major?” He asked, more like he was curious.

Looks like a billionaire gets intrigued too, “my major is engineering, computer engineering.”

I can swear that I saw his eyes widen, his lips pursed and for the first time, I saw his lips form a small smile.

“Good, it is sorted but I have my condition.”

I didn't say anything which simply implies that he should go ahead, “you are just a tool for birthing my kid, you won't have any access to them in the future. Also, we will pretend not to know each other after the deal is completed.”

I let out a mocking smile…. I am not even rich enough to take care of myself, not to talk of taking care of some kids. “I will be expecting the contract,” my tone changed to that of business and as soon as I concluded, I turned to the other side and slept off.

I didn't wake up until the next day. Immediately after I finished my breakfast, a knock came on the door.

“Come in,” I murmured with the last strength in me, my body is now fully recovered but due to the way I overate, I am weighed down.

Ethan's assistant walked in, looking stoic and professional, “Good day ma'am, your discharge has been processed and I am here to drive you to your villa,” he said. My mouth dropped wide as I stared at him in confusion, mixed with a bit of shock.

“Villa?”

“Ohh,my bad, your vacation home,” he corrected himself as if that made any changes. When did I own any home? How did I suddenly have right to a vacation home?

I have so many questions to ask but I don't even know where to start from.

“Ho… how come? I didn't buy any house? You are probably mistaken,”i tried to come up with a word.

His furrowed brows loosened up a bit, “you probably didn't read the clause in the contract ma'am, it is part of your pay as the surrogate mother.” it was at that point I remembered that he truly brought the contract an hour ago, I didn't even bother to read through it, I just signed it and applied my seal on it.

My mouth formed an ‘oh’, what was I even thinking? A billionaire like Ethan wouldn't want his baby to be maltreated at all. I nodded in understanding and stood from the bed, he stood behind me to guide me but he made sure not to touch me… probably one of the instructions given to him by his boss.

Surprisingly, we weren't stopped by anyone on the road, everyone bowed and greeted us respectfully, infact, i was awed. Is this how influence change people?

I waved off the thought and followed the man out. “By the way, what is your name? I don't want to call you the name in my mind,” I broke the silence that previously lingered in the air.

“Joe ma'am,” he answered.

Ma'am? I bet I am not ready for this life style but this is the only thing that can get me away from the mess I got myself into.

We entered the elevator and we arrived at the underground park in a jiffy. I thought the villa was the end of my surprises but to my shock, a pink Tesla was waiting for me in the car park. I screamed in shock, trying desperately to hold my tears back.

Did he investigate me? No way this could be just a coincidence, I have always wanted a pink Tesla all my life but even if I sold everything I have, I wouldn't probably get quarter the price, that was why I reluctantly let go.

I carefully matched towards the car, I ran my hand over the shimmery glassy surface, the glossiness melt my hand, making me feel like I was in a new world entirely. I bent down to smell the goodness but I was brought back to my senses by the cold voice.

“Something is going to grow inside you, I don't think you should start messing around with my KID.”

The way he emphasized the last word triggered something in me, I froze, too afraid to turn my back to the obvious owner of the voice. I don't know if I am being silly, but the sudden threat makes me want to do something crazy.

I turned around with an almost invisible smirk on my lips, my eyes locked straight with the cold, glassy hazel eyes.

“Maybe you can make me stop.” I already said it before I could hold myself back.

His lips tug upward a little, he took two steps forward with his two hands in his pocket, “I like them naughty you know.”

I quickly palmed my mouth, too nervous to give him a response. What the heck did I just get myself into?
