Ray and Jennifer sat side by side on the swing chair just by the beach shore, her head rested on his shoulders as they laughed and talked about the days in college.

"I can't believe you never noticed me." He said, his tone filled with amusement as he squeezed her shoulders gentle but tightly.

His eyes dawned on her face as he noticed a faint smile run across her lip, he cupped her face in his hand before pushing her hair to the side. "I'm sorry Jennifer, he got involved with you just to spite me ... it's all my fault." He said, his voice filled with regret.

Jennifer's eyes searched his for reassurance, he had told her everything, how it all started and why it got to this certain point. "Why do you apologize? It's not a crime to love, is it?" She said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ray's face softened, and a gentle smile appeared on his lips. "It's crazy you know, the outspoken freshman girl I was crazy about in college, here we are after all these years. I thought I had lost y

Paul sat across the detective at the same restaurant, his eyes locked onto the files that laid on the table. "What is this? You still haven't told me why my father was digging into Christine all of a sudden?" Paul demanded, his voice low and firm as his eyes narrowed and scanned the documents with desperation. "Christine and your father is believed to have had a few encounters five months back," he reported. "What they spoke about remains uncertain, but it was within this period your father hired a private detective." Paul's gaze narrowed down to the documents, his mind racing with questions as he saw the details of the money wired into Christine's account. "Fifty million dains?" Paul's voice rose as his eyes widened with shock. "Why would my father do that?" "That fraudster! What exactly did they meet for? And why wire her such amount?" "To know the truth concerning Jennifer Andrea's real identity," the detective replied finally. Paul's eyes remained fixed on the detective. "

Bella's heels clicked on the marbled floor as she walked into the restaurant with a confident look on her face. Paul, who was seated at a table near the window, waved at her with a charming smile as she joined him. "You didn't bring your wife along?" Bella asked, her voice laced with a hint of amusement, as she placed her purse on the table. Paul's expression turned sheepishly, as he chuckled, "Oh, princess, come on. She's your mother." Bella's laughed, her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Oh, please, you both have been stuck to each other like glue!" she teased, her tone playful but with a touch of sarcasm. Paul's smile faltered for a moment, and he leaned in, his voice serious this time. "I'm doing all this for you, Bella. Can't explain it now; the situation is tough." Bella's eyes rolled in skepticism. "If you say so, why have you asked to see me this late at night, then?" she asked. "How's everything going with your husband's preparations to win the shareholders' vote?" Bella's ha

The doorbell rang out, Erica's eyes lit up with concern as she hastened to open the door. She flung it wide open, as Jennifer stood frozen in the doorway, her face filled with worry. "You made me worried sick," Erica exclaimed, her voice tinged with a bit of relief as she ushered Jennifer inside. "Don't you have a press conference to attend today?" she asked, her brow raised in curiosity. Jennifer walked past her, shedding her coat as she made herself at home into her sister's apartment. "So sorry," she said, "I just need some time away from the house you know. I just need to think." Erica's expression softened as she handed Jennifer a glass of water. She settled in beside her on the couch, her eyes locked onto Jennifer's troubled face. "What's the problem?" she asked gently. Jennifer's gaze drifted to the glass of water in her hands, her fingers wrapped around it tightly. "The chairman's will... or Morris case," Erica asked. "Isn't everything strange?" she asked, her eyes search

The room was hot with tension as Grace began to prance around, her mind restless. Paul sat at the edge of the bed, lost in thought, his mind consumed by the weight of his father's will. He held a glass of liquor, his grip tightening as he thought about Jennifer's newfound power. "How could he do this?" he muttered to himself, angry and frustrated. "Even if he doesn't love his children, how about his grandchildren? The Evans legacy," Grace complained, her voice raised and laced with disdain. As she spoke, Paul's face twisted with a mixture of anger and desperation. "She will let go of it," he said, his voice low and determined. "I will make sure of that." Grace's eyes locked onto his, her gaze piercing him as she approached him. "We can't threaten her my dear husband, what are you going to say, please let go of everything the chairman willed in your name?," she said, her voice dripping with frustration. "The contract states that except she involves herself in any crime or felony or

The car ride was quiet, as Ray drove Jennifer home. The enegy in the car was heavy with unspoken emotions. Ray's eyes drifted to Jennifer, his gaze soft and gentle. He reached out and placed his hand on hers, his touch warm and comforting. "Are you okay?" he asked. Jennifer gave a thin smile as she nodded softly, her eyes casted to the window, staring at nothing in particular. Ray looked at her for a moment before diverting his gaze back to the road. "You don't look happy," he said, his tone understanding. "Maybe the chairman had his reasons. You know, you were more like a daughter to him." Jennifer's eyes remained fixed on the window, her gaze drifting away. "A daughter who wasn't by his side when he needed her the most," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Ray's eyes returned back to her, his face filled with sympathy. "Don't put it that way," he said, his voice gentle. "You know I'm sure he understand, I've clearly seen the effort you put in to see him even with tight s

The atmosphere of the burial was heavy and sober as family and mourners gathered around the freshly dug grave. Amidst this grief, Jennifer stood frozen, her gaze fixed on the proceedings, but as the weight of her emotions became too much for her to bear, she turned and stumbled out, her body shaking with constant sobs.Tears began to stream down her cheeks, her eyes red and swollen from all the crying from the past few days. Ray, sensing her current state, followed closely behind, keeping pace with her. He caught up to her and with a gentle yet firm touch, he grasped her into his arms, her head resting directly on his chest. "I've been a bad child, I'm really bad, Ray," she whispered, her voice cracking with pain and regrets. "I should have visited him more often." She wept as she hit her head repeatedly, like she was trying to punish herself. "Why did he do it? Why? Grandfather was such a good man. " she said, her body trembling. Ray's expression was filled with anguish, he didn't

As Paul, Grace, and Bella exited the hospital, they were followed by bodyguards. A whole lot of reporters quickly gathered around them, cameras and microphones being waved around as the reporters began firing off questions. Just as the family stood still for a moment, the repoerter calmed down a bit before one asked, "What evidence does the police have that led them to suspect Morris in the chairman's murder?" Another reporter chimed in, "What could be Morris' motive for killing the chairman?" Grace placed a calming hand on Paul's shoulder as he stood soberly, surrounded by the intense media attention. Paul's voice was calm, yet firm, as he addressed the reporters, "You'll find out everything in court." He pulled out a handkerchief and blew his nose, already frustrated. Bella stood behind him, her expression unreadable and bare. A reporter pressed on, "Why have you guys settled back in Denaria? Is it concerning the succession of Evans Group?" The question sparked anger in Paul's ey

Ray stepped out of the bathroom in a pair of shorts, his chest bare, as the gentle morning light dawned a warm glow on their bedroom. He moved slowly to Jennifer's side, where she laid under the duvet. With a tender touch, he kissed her neck, his eyes gazing her face as he gently stroke her hair. Jennifer's eyes fluttered open as she gazed up at Ray, her eyes soft and sleepy. Ray's eyes, filled with love and adoration, met hers, and he whispered, "Good morning, sweetheart." Jennifer's cheeks blushed as she smiled. But as she gazed up at Ray, her expression shifted, and a look of embarrassment crossed her face as she covered her face with hands a bit. "I'm so sorry, so sorry about yesterday," she apologized, her voice soft and smooth. "I slept right in the middle of our moment." Her eyes dropped, and she looked away, her cheeks growing even warmer. Ray's expression softened, and he reached out to her. "It's alright," he said, his voice gentle as he continued stroking her hair. "The
