Chapter Fourteen - A Fit Of Intense Jealousy
Lucas ate the latkes and the deviled eggs before he even tried the chops which were supposedly his favorite. He even tried the coleslaw and took a second helping of the dishes. It made Sienna smile and start eating as well. He didn’t praise the food at all but his eyes twinkled with happiness at the thought that someone had taken so much pain to cook a meal for him. Sienna watched him minutely and noted the way he relished the food that she had made. Her eyes connected with Maria’s in the laundry room and she gave Sienna a ‘told you so’ look.
The doorbell rang and Maria went to open the door. Lucas’s eyes shot up with shock seeing Marcus stride in straight towards the dining room.

He didn’t answer but looked away and stared ahead. Sienna saw the dark circles under his eyes that told a different story. He might not have slept at all. He looked a little tired.
