LOGINThe plan was going on accordingly. That meet up was just a bait and they were glad that Elizabeth was with Joseph when Harold called. Everything was really about timing and Gabriel was relieved about it since he's always at the wrong time lately. Vaughn ordered their drinks, however, it didn't stop the guy from interrogating them. "Seriously, what's going on?" he asked. Gabriel gulped down the liquor immediately, ignoring his friend's question. "Sabrina left the mansion," Harold said on his behalf. "She did? Why?" it was Joseph. Shaking his head, he poured another drink on his glass and drank it again. Not that he was acting, but because he badly really needed alcohol in his system since he really felt heartbroken thinking that he would not see his wife later once he went back to the mansion. Before that chaos happened, every night Gabriel was very excited to go home for he could not wait to hug and kiss his wife. But now that he chased her away, his heart
Gabriel clutched his fists as his jaw hardened after hearing what his father-in-law had said. He badly wanted to explain but he stopped himself as everything will be ruined if he let his emotion slip away. He left with no choice but to do it! Because if he really wanted to give Sabrina and their baby a peaceful life, he had to do something to stop whatever crazy things happening to them. "We'll go now," Tomas said. Gabriel did not look nor glance at them as they walked to the main door. For he knew if he did, he might've run after them and kneeled down to ask for forgiveness. 'Endure it!' he told himself inwardly. Despite the strong force to go after his wife to explain about his plan, he reminded himself that it was the only way he could think of to keep them safe. He had to fvcking pretend that he did not want to be with Sabrina and let her believe that he was not serious with her to chase her away. Those conversations he had with Harold earlier were intent
Sabrina covered her mouth with her palms. Her eyes were wide as saucers in shock as she stood frozen on the spot. "At least talk to her and be honest. She's still your wife. Don't forget that your marriage is real," Harold stated. Gabriel snorted, "We signed an agreement," he said curtly. "You really think I wasn't prepared for this?" That's it. Sabrina could not handle it anymore and ran upstairs. She did not care if they heard her footsteps and saw her running back upstairs anymore. What she had just heard was too painful. She did not bother locking the door anymore knowing full well that Gabriel had the master key so it wouldn't make sense. Weakly, Sabrina sat on the edge of the bed and finally let her tears run down freely. Her sobs getting louder as her shoulders shook tremendously. She felt bad for her baby but her heart cannot pretend that it didn't hurt. Hearing those words directly from Gabriel's mouth, there was no reason for her to gaslight hers
Sabrina stepped backwards. Her eyes were brimming with tears as her hands quivered in fear. She wanted to convince herself that it was just a dream. She then pinched her arms hard and her face contorted in pain, indicating that she was not sleeping and everything was real. However, she was confused, hurt even as she stared at Gabriel in utter disbelief. 'Why?' that question kept repeating in her head. No words came out of her mouth though no matter how much she tried to ask that to her husband. "Go to the master bedroom. I have a visitor.." Gabriel then stated before walking past her. What? Sabrina followed him through her gaze in bewilderment. Since when did he ask her to hide in their room just because he had a visitor? Feeling hurt, she walked upstairs and locked herself in the bedroom. She did not care if he knocked, she was not going to open the door for him. He wanted her there , right? Then he should not enter the bedroom and just entertain his visit
"Speak," Gabriel said coldly as soon as he sat on the chair across his sister. "Good morning, brother," Penelope greeted. "I'm not here to chat with you," he retorted. His sister let out a sigh before she nodded in understanding. "I understand. Sorry if I disturb you. But first, I want to thank you for trusting me.." Clenching his fists, Gabriel cast his eyes down as he suppressed his lips trying hard not to say something harsh to her. "Anyways, I would go straight to the point now. I wanted to meet you because I know this is a very important matter. My conscience won't give me peace if I keep this information to myself.." Penelope stated. That piqued his curiosity. Gabriel lifted his gaze and stared at his sister. He saw Penelope was fiddling with her fingers while her eyes were casted down indicating that she was nervous. It was a rare sight. Among the three of them, Penelope was the most calm and collected one. They have all different personalities and she was the most rat
Pursing his lips, Gabriel did not respond and just listened closely to wat his sister would add. However, the call had ended which made his brows deeply furrowed. "What the fvck is that?" he cursed as he stared at the screen of his phone. But then, he tossed it aside and gave his attention to Sabrina's mobile phone in his other hand. Those message was very suspicious. Out of curiosity, Gabriel then checked her call log and found out that the same number had call history on to the phone which only meant that Sabrina talked to whoever that person while he was busy talking to Harold earlier. His chest thumped hard as his eyes turned into a slit. He could imagine his wife planning her escape and it was giving him a fvcking deja vu. Clutching the phone tightly, Gabriel immediately picked up his phone again and dialed Harold. "You can still track Sabrina's number, right?" he asked coldly as soon as the call connected. "Yes, why?" his friend immediately responded. "I nee
