“So, marry me okay?” Sabrina cooed.

Gabriel’s jaw hardened. He shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. Never did he expect the woman to be so persistent.

He didn’t have any patience for anyone and could’ve just walked out of the bar and would've left her there. However, he wouldn’t do that as she was the very reason as to why he was there in the first place.

“Don’t you like me?” Sabrina suddenly asked.

Her voice sounded so dejected which softened his heart.

“Is something really wrong with me? Why don’t you like to marry me?”

Gabriel's eyes went wide when he saw her crying again.

It was already hard watching her crying while telling him how she's got dumped. The urge to pull her into a tight hug was strong but he suppressed himself as he didn't want to scare her.

“Nothing’s wrong with you. Stop crying,” he hushed in a soft voice and started wiping her tears.

Sabrina’s lips protruded. “Why do you hate me then?” Her voice cracked.

Gab pursed his lips tightly. His chest tightened hearing her weak voice as he was not accustomed to it.

“Who said I hate you?” his thick eyebrows deeply creased.

“You don’t want to marry me. You’re just like Anthon. He didn’t want to marry me and proposed to someone else instead! Am I really that ugly?” Her breathing's uneven and was sobbing like a child.

Gently caressing her cheeks, Gabriel leveled his face with her and made her look at her. “Don’t compare me to that douchebag. I’m not stupid like him”

“Then why don’t you want to marry me too?” She frowned.

“Because you’re drunk,” he replied softly.

“I told you, I’m not drunk”

“Really?” Gabriel asked in amusement, “Then do you know who I am?” he challenged.

Sabrina lifted her chin and smiled, “You’re Gab,” she quickly answered proudly.

“What’s my full name?” Gab probed.

Tilting her head, Sabrina’s eyebrows knitted and slowly, her smile faded.

Gabriel chuckled.

He pinched her nose lightly then stood straight. “See? You don’t know me yet,” he muttered. “I’m technically a stranger to you, so you should stop asking me to marry you while you're drunk. You're just going to regret it once you're sober”

“But you’re not a stranger!” Sabrina argued.

His body froze. Strangely, his heartbeat increased.

Gabriel suddenly stepped back while he stared at her as if she grew another head. He was not sure if he was nervous as he had never felt nervous before.

Meanwhile, Sabrina flashed a wide smile. “I know your name and we've been sitting here for hours and talking so you aren’t a stranger anymore~” she said in a sing-song.

Gab was gobsmacked. He did not know whether to laugh or feel disappointed at her statement. But he admitted deep inside he got a little excited when she said he was not a stranger because he knew Sabrina for a long time.

“So, do you agree to marry me now, Gabby?”

‘Gabby,’ her voice echoed in his head.

It was like music to his ears. It sounded so good that he felt something inside his chest ignited. His blue eyes instantly darkened as he stared at Sabrina.

“Please?” she blinked her droopy eyes while looking up at him.

And just like that, his self-restraint collapsed in an instant. “Let’s go,” he said in a low voice.

Sabrina's smile widened and she clapped her hands, “You're gonna marry me now?” she asked cheerfully.

Gab pursed his lips as he stared at her innocent face. There was a nagging feeling inside him that was telling him that it was wrong. But deep inside him, he really wanted to do it.

Shutting his eyes, he shook his head and groaned. Then, upon opening his eyes, he immediately scooped Sabrina up and carried her out of the bar.

“Heeyyy~” giggling, Sabrina clung her arms around his neck. “We’re not married yet. Shouldn’t you give me a ring first before you carry me to your room?” she chuckled.

Shaking his head, Gab unlocked his car and put her in the passenger’s seat.

“Stay still,” he muttered when the woman wiggled from her seat.

“I need a ring!”

Gabriel nodded and just patted her cheeks.

He closed the door as gently as he could. Afterwards, he took out his mobile phone and called his executive assistant. “I’m going to the courthouse, arrange everything for my wedding tonight and bring the ring..” his gaze went back to Sabrina whose head was leaning on the window with her eyes closed. “It’s in my office, inside the drawer”

Gabriel's eyes darkened after ending the call. Pocketing the mobile phone, he gracefully walked around the car and stepped inside the driver’s seat.

“Sab?” he called softly.

Gabriel sighed when Sabrina didn't respond.

Leaning on his side, he watched her sleeping form. His eyes glimmered as a small smile plastered on his lips.

“You're so innocent,” he shook his head.

Suddenly, Gabriel's mind had changed again. He did not want to take advantage of Sabrina's drunkenness. She didn't deserve it. However, there's a big part of him that badly wanted to grab the opportunity, as he did not know whether there would still be a chance if he let that slip away.

Shutting his eyes, Gabriel took a deep breath and released a heavy breath. He was about to start to drive Sabrina home when suddenly his phone rang.

“Everything’s ready, Sir. Judge Torrealba is waiting in his office..” Harold, his assistant, informed him.

Gabriel's jaw hardened. Contemplating on what to do. Clicking his tongue, he was about to tell Harold to cancel it for his conscience was killing him. However, Sabrina, who was supposed to be sleeping, suddenly spoke.

“I’m going to get married to Gabby..” she giggled.

Her voice was a little slurry and he was not able to understand it aside from the last word, Gabby.

The way that nickname rolled from Sabrina's tongue was very different, and it was making his heart do a backflip.

“Sir? Is there anything else you need?” The other line queried.

Biting the bottom of his lips, Gabriel stared at the road darkly, thinking hard while his chest was hammering wildly.

“Where’s my ring?” Sabrina's voice interrupted his thoughts.

Rather than answering nor glancing her way, Gab accelerated the car instead. Also, he immediately ended the call as he did not want his assistant to listen to whatever Sabrina was going to stay if she ever spoke again.

In no time, they reached the courthouse. Gabriel did not waste any second, he quickly stepped out of the car and ran around the passenger’s to open the door for Sabrina.

“We’re here,” he said sternly..

Meanwhile, Sabrina slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. Her face was red while she could barely open her eyes.

“Where?” she queried.

Her head tilted as she tried to see him, but almost instantly, a giggle escaped her lips and her droopy eyes glimmered.

“You got my ring now? Here..” she said then clumsily extended her hand, showing her empty fingers on him.

The corner of Gabriel’s lips lifted as he stared at her empty ring finger. The shade of his blue eyes darkened.

“Not yet, my love. You have to sign our marriage certificate first,” he muttered while grabbing her hand and interlocking their fingers.

Sabrina froze on her seat. Her chest was about to explode at how hard it was pounding. “You know her?” Michelle inquired. “Yeah. We know each other,” Ashley answered meaningfully. Sabrina shut her eyes momentarily as she took a deep breath. Then, slowly, she lifted her head and looked at the woman standing on her side. “You're here,” she said with a fake smile. She could see how Ashley’s eyes went wide upon confirming that it was really her. Meanwhile, the two remained on their seats with lips pressed together and expression seemingly displeased that she was there. “I didn’t know you two knew each other,” Ashley turned to Jacob. Sabrina shifted her gaze to her boss. She watched his expression and saw him continue eating as if he didn’t hear anything. “Eat, Sabrina. We need to go back to work in fifteen minutes,” he said. It was not only Sabrina who was shocked to hear that. Their lunch break was one hour and it was not even thirty minutes since their break started. “Do we h

Sabrina shut her eyes tightly as she once again cursed inwardly. She forgot that there was a possibility that they knew Jacob because they have a common cousin which was Vince Salvatorre. “Georgina,” their boss greeted. “That’s really you. How nice to see you here. It’s been a long time. How are you doing now?” It was Ashley. “I’m good,” Jacob responded curtly. The woman chuckled. “You did not change,” she commented. “I’ve heard from Vince you’ve got your great artist back. How’s the business going?” “Good. Not going to bankruptcy yet,” Jacob shrugged his shoulders. The three women chuckled. By the way they were conversing, it was so obvious that they knew each other well. And surprisingly, Georgina seemed to be joining the conversation too which surprised Sabrina. She could already taste the blood in her mouth as she was biting the bottom of her lips too hard. All she wanted to do at the moment was to teleport or just disappear out of nowhere. Their conversation got cut off

Sabrina’s world stopped for a second. With trembling hands, she looked at Michelle with wide eyes, “W-what?” She stuttered. Meanwhile, Michelle pointed her index finger at her, “As fast as I could remember, Mr Mondragon wanted to talk to you that day..” Her eyebrows raised. “She didn’t follow him though..” Angelo chimed in. Michelle shook her head. Her eyes were shining as though she knew something which made Sabrina’s heart pounded so hard. “Ella said you left your car in the parking lot..” she muttered. All the blood got drained from Sabrina’s face. She could still remember clearly how Gabriel cornered her and forcedly pulled her inside the backseat of his car and made her sit on his lap. “I don’t remember,” she lied as she looked away and touched her left eyebrow. “Are you sure?” Michelle chirped. Sabrina nodded without looking at them. Fortunately, it was already nine and their boss already sent an email to each of them, reminding them that it was time for work. She was

“You’re glowing," Michelle commented as soon as she entered the workroom.Unconsciously, Sabrina touched her face as she could feel her cheeks instantly heated up. But she tried to compose herself and just acted nonchalant. “It’s just make-up,” she responded whilst averting her gaze.Michelle, however, raised her eyebrows as though she was not falling for it, “Since when did you learn how to put on make-up, huh?” She queried suspiciously. In an instant, Sabrina froze. Forgetting that her friends and literally everyone around her knew that she was not a fan of those things. It can even count on her fingers how many times she actually wore make-up and those times were when she attended events like her coming of age celebration and graduations. “I just wanted to try it,” Sabrina said in a tiny voice. It was not a lie though. That morning after she took a shower, she saw the set of make ups in the walk-in closet. Curiously, she took them out and got tempted to use them especially af

Sabrina froze. It was not what she was expecting to hear from him. What she actually expected was he would either accept her apology or reprimand her. Lifting her gaze, she met Gabriel’s eyes. But then, her heart almost stopped from beating upon seeing his sharp gaze. “Go back to our room,” he repeated. Sabrina did not say anything and quickly turned around. Hastily, she walked out of the office without looking back. She almost ran back to the master bedroom and dove to the bed with her face first.“He’s so cold!” She groaned. Her chest was thumping so loudly. It was not the first time he was treating her coldly but for some reason, it didn’t suit her well. In fact, she was actually disappointed about it. Gabriel could have said it nicely. He could say that he was busy and ask them to talk about it some other time. She knew she had no right to her mad as she was in the wrong, but her feelings were valid. Turning around and resting her back against the mattress, Sabrina then

  • Accidentally Married To My Ex's Boss   Chapter 143: Doubt

Sabrina was being bold to say such, but she did not care at all. That woman needed to provoke so she would stop sprouting lies anymore. Certainly, she would immediately fold once she learns that Gabriel was just on the side, listening to her make up stories about him. ‘I’m just saving you, actually,’ she thought when the woman took long to respond. “I did not steal his phone,” Janette said with conviction. Shrugging her shoulders, Sabrina looked up at her husband to check his reaction. However, she was quite disappointed upon seeing this blank expression as though he was not bothered by it at all. Sabrina wanted to ask him if he was okay with it but decided against it. However, doubt filled her heart and became suspicious that he was just lying to her. Maybe Janette was telling the truth all along or maybe they were conspiring against her. Pressing her lips, she squinted her eyes at Gabriel as she suddenly demanded over the phone, “Then give him the phone”On the other line, Sab
