A bit of frustration.

William was just finishing up the call with the company’s client all the way from Switzerland when he had a knock on the door.

With a sigh, he called out for the person to enter.

And of course, who else might it be but his deliciously looking secretary?

Her scent was stronger this time and William recognized fear to be present in it. He stared curiously at her as she fumbled with her fingers.

What was going on?

“Sir, please I have to go to the daycare.” William heard her say.

He grit his teeth and looked away from her.

Of course. She always had an excuse, didn’t she? This was the second time in just the first week of her starting as his secretary. Was he supposed to expect this sort of damning work ethic from the top candidate for the job?
