CHAPTER 7

It's been a month since the accident, but the girl has yet to awaken. There is also no information about her family, and no one is looking for the girl.

Every day, the young man went to the girl's location, hoping to see some improvement in her condition, but he had bad luck. The young man was eager to complete their two-year mission and couldn't wait any longer.

"I'm not going to wait for her anymore; I'm done with this!" exclaimed the young man as he entered his office.

"Just wait a little longer, the doctors said, she's getting better," Lucas tries to reassure his friend. "Getting better? Look at her condition, Lucas; she's still fvcking comatose!"

"Yeah, I know," Lucas replied calmly, "but we don't have a choice; we have to wait. Seeing her still in that condition does not imply that nothing has changed; the doctor also stated that there is a good chance she will wake up one of these days."

"One fvcking month has been wasted waiting for her, and I'm not going to waste another," Luther raged. "She just needs a few more days—"

"No, I told you, I'm done with this! You know how hard it was for me to wait just to complete this mission, and now you want me to wait for her? Fvcking no!" the young man said, still irritated. "We must ensure that everything is under control—"

"She's still fvcking unconscious! Do you think she'll say anything against me in this state?"

"But what about Asano? We must keep a low profile—"

"They're already moving towards us, and if we don't act, we might really die before they do."

"But—"

"I don't want to hear any more buts from you, Lucas," Luther interrupted his friend. He sat in front of his desk, pinching his temple to relax. Lucas didn't say anything else, but he was still opposed to what his friend wanted to happen when Kheed entered. "Dude, you won't believe this," Lucas looks while the young CEO remained seated. "Everyone is talking about it, and if you look outside, you'll see that those female employees mourning!"

"Just spill it, Kheed," Lucas said flatly, exhausted from the fight with Luther.

"Everyone is talking about HIS girlfriend," Kheed explained making the young man confusedly stared at him. "What?"

The young man's frequent visits to the girl's home generated a lot of attention, particularly among women. They assumed the enigmatic young man already had a girlfriend.

"How did they get that kind of information?" Lucas inquired. "It's a secret that only we and doctors know about the woman's situation, especially the area."

" According to rumors I heard, someone saw him go to your rest house and saw his visit to Samantha," Kheed said as he sat next to the young man.

"How? That's a private location, and—- don't tell me one of the nurses spread it?"

"I'm not sure, but everyone's buying it," Kheed shrugged.

"Damn! I told her to pick her companions carefully!" Lucas grumbled, "We have to clear this—-"

"Let's have it that way," Luther said again, "What?"

"Let them think that way; it saves me from having to make excuses."

"But that would cause a commotion."

"I told you I didn't want to hear any more buts from you," Luther said as he took papers from his desk. Lucas shook his head in response, knowing that he can't do anything when his final with his decision, while Kheed stood in the front and seemed to enjoy watching the two.

After a month of waiting, the young CEO got to work running their company while continuing their mission. Some of the women avoided the young man due to the gossip, but there are still some who try to attract the handsome CEO in the hopes of being noticed.

Everything works in Luther's favor, especially after learning about their mission. They received some useful information in exchange for the high-quality guns they obtained on Lopez. It contains evidence that his parents' deaths were not an accident.

The young man shivered in fumes as he read the letter's contents, the painful memory of his parents' deaths returning. He shook off the bitter memories and focused on the final line of the verse.

"Le'Roux... Asano..." he read from the letter's final words. The letter did not specify what they were, but it provided a hint as to Luther's next step. He crumpled the paper and then set it on fire without hesitation.

His suspicions were correct; the Asano was one of the causes of their demise. He was not wrong when he saw the clan's symbol among the items left behind by his late father. "I have some good news," Lucas announced as he entered the office, followed by Kheed. "What exactly is that fire?"

"I have good news as well," the young man said, grinning.

"If that one is smiling like that, it really is good news," Kheed said, "What exactly is it?"

"The information we obtained from the previous trade contains testimonials about my parents' death; it wasn't an accident, I knew it!" Luther said in glee," I also have names."

"Really? That's fantastic news for us!" Lucas exclaimed. "That will make our mission easier."

"Yeah," the young man said, "Who exactly are they?"

"Well, they gave me two names, one of which I was unfamiliar with, but the other was the one we had been keeping an eye on."

" Asano?" the young man asked, Luther nodded. "Then you're correct in digging on them, but who's the other one?"

" The name is Le'Roux. I don't know about them but one thing is for sure, this is another powerful clan. " Luther answered.

"Did you say Le'Roux?" Kheed inquired, the young man nodded. "Yeah, do you know who they are?"

Kheed's jaw moved as if he was trying to suppress himself, and his eyes were filled with a mix of pain and anger. "They are the ones who murdered her."

The two young men exchanged glances, "You mean the clan you've been looking for? You said those clans have been dissolved?"

"That's what the news says, but I'm not convinced. Look at how the media manipulated his parents' death; it could be the same with them," Kheed said. Luther and Lucas both nod in agreement with his statement. " It looks like that these clans are the real deal.

"Then, if that's the case, I'll assign those tasks to you; gather some information on that clan," Luther said. "It's my pleasure," Kheed says with a grin.

"This is still a lucky day for us," Lucas said. "About that, you mentioned you have good news as well; what is it?" Luther asked.

"She finally regains consciousness," the two exchanged glances before smiling at the young man.

"Who?" the young man inquired, who had forgotten about the woman while focused on the company and the mission.

"The girl you accidentally hit"
