"What?" I asked, looking up when I heard Lucas' question. Feel the sting of his question. Was he under the impression that I was faking memory loss? Did he think I was playing them?

"Seems like you're having trouble understanding my words, so let me rephrase: are you trying to deceive us by pretending to lose your memory?" he asked again.

I scoffed, staring at him, unprepared for what he said. "Why would I do something like that?"

He shrugged and said, "I don't know, you tell me." I scoff again while shaking my head. I'm not sure why they feel the need to accuse me of this. I just cooked.

"Don't misunderstand his question, Sam. We're just wondering how you knew you could cook if you truly lost your memory." I heard Kheed join in the conversation, putting the cutlery on the plate. "It simply does not make sense."
