Max watched her as she moved throughout the store. She was self-assured and knew how to shop better than he did. After one of the best dinners, he could remember having he helped her clean up the kitchen, and then she threw off her clothes as they went to the bathroom and the steaming shower that awaited them. They walked through the store, looking at the different things for toddlers. She really didn’t want to buy too much for her brother, not knowing how long they would have him.
