Max watched her as she moved throughout the store. She was self-assured and knew how to shop better than he did. Though he normally ate something from a fast food place or some kind of take out, he didn’t do this food shopping thing very often. For her, he would brave the store and repeat what she wanted him to do. He started to realize the power the small female in front of him already had over him when she turned back to him and smiled as she placed something in the cart.
He had been arguing with her about who was going to pay for everything so she could get whatever she wanted. She was still a little worn out from the session in the office so she could be verbally worn down even easier than he expected. He took advantage of that as well. He wanted to get home so they could eat, and he could call to see what was going on with his parents.

After one of the best dinners, he could remember having he helped her clean up the kitchen, and then she threw off her clothes as they went to the bathroom and the steaming shower that awaited them. Max was not like her when it came to keeping the floors free from clothes. He didn’t throw them in the basket he had. The next two days were nothing more than packing and moving boxes back and forth between her apartment and the house they both shared now. The entire day of Thursday was spent together as he took her into the office, and they did his office hours while cleaning up the office a bit more. Now there were no papers and stacks of books all over the floor. Though things had gotten done in his absence and he really wanted to have minimal contact with them and everything going on around them. He felt he had to go at least check on them. Deanna stood straight and didn’t let the woman who was staring at her make her feel anything other than the slight fear that racked through her. They walked through the store, looking at the different things for toddlers. She really didn’t want to buy too much for her brother, not knowing how long they would have him. As he kissed her, he knew she was the one for him. It was simple in his mind. Though he knew what he wanted and what she was willing to give him, he also knew that it was too soon for that to happen. They needed to find their feet together and become established as their own people who were also part of being a couple.
