Amend the contract?

I slowed down and stopped the car on the side of the road, snatched the phone from her, and ended the call. “Why Leigh? Is one percent not enough?” I snarled at her. “How much percentage do you want?”

I hissed, pressing my lips together because it was not what I meant to say, but it was too late.

Her wide eyes suddenly narrowed as she unbuckled her seatbelt. “What do you think of me? You son of a -”

She growled at me and surprised me when she opened the car door and walked away. I massaged my forehead, roaring back at her, but I panicked and unfastened my seatbelt when I realized she was not coming back.
