Chapter 3: Wendy Shall Bear With It

Wendy rushed out of the hotel, panting. She stood at the door, reached out to stop a taxi, and shouted, "Jenny, I'm telling you! I will never let you go if anything happens to my mom!"

Jenny sneered. "If you still want to see her one last time, don't talk nonsense. Come here quickly."

After that, she hung up the phone.

Her fingernails had already dug deep into her palm, and Wendy had nearly bitten through her lip. Her entire body was drenched in sweat as she stood under the scorching sun.

She couldn't get a taxi. Seeing the time go by, Wendy couldn't wait any longer. A black Bentley drove over the next moment, and she rushed over without hesitation!

"Stop!"

Wendy desperately stood in the middle of the road, and the security guards on the side watched this scene in horror.

Clare exclaimed as he stepped on the gas pedal, his face pale.

The car stopped in front of Wendy with a thump, almost knocking her into the air.

Bentley's performance was very good, and the shock in the car was not obvious. Still, Rex was shrouded in a shocking aura, which made him look like Asura from hell, which made people afraid.

"Mr. Gavyn, I'm sorry. A young lady suddenly appeared on the road……"

At that moment, the lady Clare had mentioned walked around the car and started knocking on the window.

"Mr. Gavyn?"

Rex narrowed his eyes and looked outside the window coldly. "Ask her if she wants to die."

"Well……"

Clare shivered for no reason and rolled down the window. Wendy's eyes lit up. "Hello, sir. I have something urgent to attend to at the hospital. Can you give me a ride?"

After saying that, she ignored Clare's reaction and went straight to the back to open the car door. When she saw Rex's cold gaze, she paused.

Rex's eyes darkened, and his deep gaze was inscrutable. Her grip on the car window weakened a little.

Wendy would not dare to get in the car if it were Rex, but her mother was in danger now!

With the sound of opening the car door, Wendy forced herself to get in.

"Hello, sir. I know this may be very presumptuous, but please send me to the hospital!"

"Oh?" Rex's deep and mellow voice rang out as he stared at Wendy like a ruler looking down on the world. His thin lips parted slightly as he said, "On what basis?"

"Because……" Wendy's voice softened, and she almost begged, "you…… you slept with me last night, so can you give me a ride now?"

"Quite funny."

A cold snort came from the air, and Clare, sitting in the front row, shivered. What had happened between this lady and Mr. Gavyn?

Rex's cold gaze left her, and he glanced at Clare indifferently. "Start the car."

"Where…… where are we going?"

"The hospital!" An impatient voice rang above Clare's head. He did not dare delay and started the car immediately!

"Thank you!"

A warm smile appeared on Wendy's face after receiving permission, but when she thought of how her mother was dying from illness, the smile on her face gradually faded.

The atmosphere in the car was very low. Rex's jaw was very tight, and his handsome face was full of coldness.

The journey was very long. Wendy was worried about her mother, but at the same time, she was anxiously sizing up the man beside her.

Rex Gavyn!

He was the legend of Jena City! A man who could make Jena City tremble three times with a slight cough. Countless celebrities in Jena City wanted to climb into his bed! Even if they couldn't grow old with him, even if they slept with him once, it was still the dream of many girls!

And last night, this man had…… Wendy's face was burning hot, and she didn't dare to look at Rex.

He kept a straight face, and his cold expression looked as if he was going to crush her to death in minutes.

"Get out of the car!" A cold voice rang out. It was only then that Wendy came to her senses and realized that she had already arrived at the hospital.

She thanked him and ran down from the black Bentley in a panic.

Looking at the little figure gradually disappearing into the distance, Rex frowned deeply.

"Mr. Gavyn, why did you promise her just now?"

Clare asked out of curiosity.

Rex looked away, revealing a cold and noble aura. His voice was even colder as he said, "Since when did you dare to ask about my private matters?"

Clare immediately shut up. "I'm sorry, Mr. Gavyn."
