Chapter 21: After Party

By the time she had breakfast cooked and on plates, Darren had them set up on the back porch near the pool, fresh coffee already poured and soft music playing from the speakers around the pool. She smiled at the way he always seemed so prepared and took care of her. She had meant what she said earlier; the sex was different for them right now but that didn't mean it had been lacking before they opened their marriage up to other encounters. Sex with others was not a way to fix a damaged relationship. If they weren't strong to begin with, they would have only been setting themselves up for more trouble later on down the road. People who went that route were only looking for a distraction to keep them from working on what needed attention. Chelsea had plenty of attention; she just wanted the fun.
