"Can I join your table, guys? My companion already went home with her date, and I'm left alone with no company. Poor me, I still want to enjoy the party. I feel like I'm a lost child right now, no one wanted me. Adopt me, please!" Adelyn said in a pitiful voice, wanting to be accepted into the group.
A few seconds of uncomfortable silence descended on the table.
Not wanting to be rude, Rosita has decided to do something to address the poor girl's situation. "No problem, you can join us, dear," she said with a smile. She noticed that Adeleyn had been shamelessly flirting with her son the whole evening.
Adelyn smiled with glee and settled into the vacant chair next to Rosita. "Thank you so much, Aunt! You're so kind!"
