Chapter 34: Why?
After hearing her stepmother's statement, Briana gasped sharply and walked to her room, not wanting to be in the same room as the shameless woman Adelyn.
She quickly entered her room, locked the door, and ran to bed, burying her face in the pillow to muffle her scream of anger.
She can't bring herself to get mad at her stepmother because Rosita doesn't know about her secret relationship with her son, there is no one to blame. Besides, her stepmother was just being kind to Adelyn, who has a previous relationship with her son.
She doesn't care anymore what's going on outside.
She left the bed, grabbed her pajamas from the closet, and entered the bathroom to brush her teeth and change into her pajamas.
