Everyone knew Sarah never liked Leon. That much was obvious.

Mandy pressed her lips together, trying to steady her breathing.

“You certainly observe things closely. But reactions can’t be predicted. You’re not me. How would you know how I’d respond under threat?”

Julian shrugged.
