Chapter 14 On you or on her

Oswald arrived at the mall and saw his mother standing by a pillar with her hands crossed on her chest. She saw Oswald and rushed towards him, Oswald looked behind and around but saw no one but her. He looked at her and asked her,

“Where are the people maltreating you? Mom don’t tell me that you were playing a prank on me. I left a serious meeting just to meet you.”

“It’s okay, don’t act rude to me. I was telling the truth but she left with them when I called you said that you were coming.”

Oswald looked as if his energy had been sucked out of his body but he controlled himself. His mother touched his hand but he backed away. He looked sideways thinking that they might not have left yet but he didn’t even see a shadow of them.

“So, she left even though she knew that I was coming? That means she doesn’t want to see me right?”

As he was thinking, he heard his phone ringing and he answered,

“Have you found it yet? If you have, leave it on my desk, I need to have a look at it first.”
