Chapter 3 I'm breaking your marriage

She walked out of the room with hurried steps but as she left the building she slowed down. The paper in her hand wrinkled due to the forced she was putting on it. A few more steps forward and she stopped and kept her back against the hallway wall. Elsie breathed in several times but she still couldn't stop the tears rushing down her eyes. She looked at the sheet in her hand and read through it again and she sniffed and said to herself,

'That's right, Elsie, you have held on for too long. Your love wasn't reciprocated but you have been shamed instead. You should learn your lesson and let him go.'

But then more tears flowed down. Just when she was about to break down, she heard footsteps coming her way and she hurriedly stood upright and wiped away her eyes. She didn't want anyone to see her in a bad state and she adjusted herself and started walking away. The lady watched her back wondering what could be wrong with Elsie.

She hurried back to the car and entered. She sighed as she threw her neck back on the headboard. Sid looked at her and asked,

"Is it done?"

She nodded with a slight smile and he asked her,

"How long has it been since you went out for entertainment?"

Entertainment? Elsie was thinking about this word in her heart. During those five years, she was like a servant with endless chores every day, because she tried hard to win the hearts of Crofts family, but their hearts were like made of stone, and they still treated her with bad attitude.

It was as if she was a sinner.

She said sarcastically,"I didn't have the time for outing, and I used to only focus on how the Crofts family would appreciate my effort."

He sighed and said to her,"I bet Oswald will regret that he lost you. But I'm also glad that he didn't find you an inestimable treasure, and that a man like him doesn't deserve you."

"Come on, Precious, it's time to show other men how you shine!"

Elsie was no longer interested in what Oswald thought, henceforth she would live only for herself!

She noticed Sid's approving smile and she asked,"So where are we going next?"

"The club, we need to go and relax before we make you a queen. You're going to be busy next so we need to take the time we can to get really relaxed, but most importantly, there is someone who would love to meet you. I bet he is someone you would be amazed to meet," Sid finished, his eyes winking at her.

Who is person? Elsie had been so busy taking care of Oswald's family for the past few years that she didn't think she knew anyone else, and especially a man. But she was sure Sid wouldn't let her meet someone without any reason.

She spoke up and said,"Go on, then. You're right, I need relax!"

Sid smiled and looked at the driver and then said to him,

"To nightmare."

A few minutes later, they walked into the club. They walked to the VIP section and a young man sat on the couch with a glass of wine in his hand and a full bottle of wine in an ice bucket on the table in front of him. He was browsing his phone and two men dressed in black stood behind him. He was dressed in black trousers and long sleeved white shirt.

When he heard the footsteps, he looked up and upon seeing Elsie, a broad smile appeared on his face. He removed the glasses and Elsie was stilled walking towards him. She looked at him closer and he raised his eyebrows and opened his arms as he stood up. Elsie rushed and hurriedly hugged him, it seems he was taken by surprise and so, they both fell unto the couch.

Elsie laughed out and helped herself up by pressing on his chest slightly. She sat up and slapped his thigh and then called out to him,

"Aires Rayleigh!! Oh my God!! Where the hell have you been?"Aires is an orphan in the orphanage sponsored by her father. Elise noticed him because he was so special and he was so good looking.

But because of his withdrawn personality, he was often bullied by his peers and Elise always stood up for him. However, after her father died, the orphanage operator was replaced and Aires had since disappeared.

She herself had a terrible time because of it, so she didn't have the energy to look for him, and she was really so surprised that she got to see him again.

Aires was even more handsome, and she jumped into Aires' arms, not noticing his reddening cheeks.

All the while, Aires was still laying on the couch with his eyes blinking hurriedly and a blush on his cheeks. One of the bodyguard moved towards him to help him sit up but he stopped him with a stern look.

Aires was happy to know that Elsie was divorced. No one knew that he had always had a crush on her, even though she was five years older than him. He didn't want to scare her so he kept it as a secret and he vowed to guard her very well.

Aires was just about to explain when Sid answered for him,"I told you, you would be amazed but it seems you are surprised and happy as well."

Elsie laughed out and she looked back at the bodyguards and asked him,

"Who are these people behind you and why do you need them?"

Aires smiled and Sid replied to her,

"He is an idol; he is so famous in the entertainment industry that he is called a super idol. And so, he can't walk alone if you understand what I mean."

Elsie looked at Aires unbelievably and he nodded his head and said to her,

"It's all thanks to your family, I would be a nobody if not for your parents help."

Elsie sighed with a painful smile on her face and said to them,

"You are a living proof of their benevolence. I am proud of you!"

Aires laughed and responded to her,

"Yes, I am a living proof and you would reap the fruit of their labour. I am ready to help you in any way possible for you to stand on your feet."

Elsie clenched her fists, not wanting to disappoint these people who had been supporting her. She said firmly,"Why not? I have lost love but I still have you guys."

Elsie finished and once again glanced at Sid gratefully, although she was not with him all these years, he has been paving the way for her. He kept telling her that she was smart, with a master's degree from a top university she should not just do the maid thing. She used to love Oswald's too much, and she trusted their family to help her investigate the truth about her father's death, but the fact is that five years have passed and the fact is no one has even talk about it.

Next, she will use all her resources to investigate the truth of her father's death and take back her father's company!
